I can't "Explore" hard drive

I used DISKPART to partition and format hard drives in my computer. They are visible in the Windows computer management, but they do not show up in explorer.

Why don't the drives show up in explorer in windows after I partition and format them with diskpart?

Have you tried using a new sata cable and trying a different sata port?

I am formatting two different drives. They are both detected and are connected properly. If I create partitions and format from "Computer Management" in windows everything is peachy. But, I want to do everything manually from diskpart. However, when I do the dirty with diskpart nothing shows up in windows explorer, even though it is partitioned and formatted.
