Hi i'm new to serious oc and have been trying to stabilize my system at 4ghz but i'm a bit unsure how. I'we got it to 4 ghz both with just adjusting the multiplier and by setting a high fsb but ether way its not stable... have tryed q few volt settings but none seems to do the trick right now its 4016,3 ghz with multiplier 16 and 251 fsb it boots windows and idle fine but once i start burnintest it reboot after one minute

Does that mean you have a C2 stepping? Look in CPU-Z, the main tab. Anyway with C2 you could need anywhere from 1.45 - 1.6v to stabilize 4ghz, how much voltage have you tried?

What voltage are you running it at? Is it stable at 3.8 with a multi only overclock? Your memory could be causing issues if you dont have a dividor set properly.

C2 stepping processors are old and didn't have the overclocking potential that C3 steppings do. It's most likely the limitations of the CPU that you're using.
