Thread Starter
OK last night i hit shut down on my PC walked off and came back and it had not turned off so i was like ok... so i hit re-set nothing happened then i held it in still nothing then i tried holding in the power button and it turns off then this morning when i turn it on it comes to the American magnetic screen saying your attempt to over clock was unsuccessful or fail or was unstable or some thing like that i was like *** i am 250% sure i did not over clock any thing because i have no idea how to do it and so it gave me 2 options F1 or F2 cant remember F1 but F2 was re-set to default or something so i hit that then turned it off can back later turned it back on and i get the message in American magnetics screen your CPU fan has failed F1 to resume i can see how this can happen considering i have water cooling but can any one tell me what this mite be or how i can get rid of the message about the fan so it doesn't show up at boot because its never been there before and its going to get very annoying having to remember to hit it every time i turn my PC on and cant seem to system restore

First its american megatech and it gives you that message any time you hit the CMOS reset, regardless of whether or not it is overclocked. Second the most probable Reason that the bios is complaining about a fan error is that there is no CPU fan plugged in correct? So the mother board is unhappy because it doesn't see a CPU fan it likely didn't give you this message before because you had set the bios not to control the CPU fan thus it wouldn't complain about one not being there. Then when you reset everything that fan setting went back to stock so to resolve this go into the UEFI advanced settings and look for a part about fan control or broken fan detection.

There should also be a setting for "Halt on Error" and you can disable that.

If you mobo is retarded like mine and does not have a "do not halt on cpu fan error" then you can hit one of the f keys to skip it ( for me its f2)
