Buying an SSD - Page 2

No opinions, just facts.

First, check out the review in my sig of the M4 vs Vertex 3 max iops using benchmarks that are available to everyone to use.

Now you can see that in as-ssd, the M4 scores higher than the V3 in 4k reads and access times. These are the figures that make a drive feel fast to normal users.

If you're a person that does a ton of writes, the Vertex 3 would be faster. If you're a normal user like 95% of us, the M4 is better for you.

im in the same boat as the op (m4 vs force 3)

so on the topic of reliability comes the topic of warranty and returns
does anyone have any experience with Crucial warranty service?

id say a reason to get the corsair 120gb would be the exceptional warranty service that corsair provides if the ssd does die and can be esaily replaced, so ive heard, any objections?

You're right there, Corsair has amazing service.

I've heard that Crucial has better service than OCZ.

Thread Starter
I am NOT in America and I will never be so stop putting those newegg links and Mushkin recommendations. I have explicitly stated that only those three drive were worth mentioning because others are just not available in where I live. Now, I may be buying the M4 unless the newly released firmware enables me to use Sandforce SSD safely enough and relatively bug free.

The closest you came to saying that was:
