Question about my PSU

Alright I'm gonna tell you my specs

I7 2600k, SLI GTX EVGA FTW Hydro Copper 2, Asus Maximus IV Z-68 (mobo), Corsair Vengeance Ram 1800 (give or take) Swittech MCP655 Pump (for liquid cooling) Western Digital 1 TB Drive @ 7200, H80 CPU liquid cooler with a Mach 1 Kingwin Power supply 1200 Watts.

OK here's a problem I've been having. Every time I try to OC my 580's it crashes, not matter what. Cards are both brand new and work fine for most games, though i do see a slow down for time to time, example i played battlefield 3 last night and during certain parts had a noticeable slowdown (like it stopped for a sec, but mostly during saves). My cards will also sometimes crash during certain games on steam but i'm guessing its just a steam thing cause it never happens on other games. So my question is my PSU to small to support overclocked 580's along with a overclocked CPU? Both are stock right now.

Side note, my PC takes a while to boot up sometimes and wanted to know if you could give me an idea of whats up. I also just built this system with all new parts just over 6 weeks ago.

Well for the wattage you certainly should have enough to power all of that. I was able to overclock 2 580s quite heavily along with the power hungry i7 940 and come in pulling less then 1000W from the wall.

I'm not sure if your power supply in itself is able to deliver enough current that the graphics cards with the cpu are drawing, though I'm not overly familiar with the power supply neither.
