Leaving AMD for Intel

Thread Starter
After the disappointment of bulldozer I decided that I will be going with Intel for my next upgrade. I want to go with the 2500k, but do not know which mobo to go with. I would like to stay under 200 and want crossfire support as I will be keeping my 5770's for a little while longer. I also would like to know what PSU you guys recommend. Thanks for the help!

It's under performing, performing worse than Intel processors that have already been out for a while, and roughly the same price range.

It's not necessary bad. The bulldozer series right now just cost way too much for their performance.

Got it, I mean from what I remember there was some notice that the senior developers left and the juniors started rolling in.

By the way, what is the difference between http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157271 board and what @ryanbob1234 listed as http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157265

I see that it is cheaper and the bridge is new of the one I listed.

You already have a 990 board. Why not try a used 1090 which would be a huge upgrade from what you have. Next build I might try Intel again.

the 4xxx and 6100 are useless as the 1090/1100 do better. I owned an8150 and sold it, felt no better thanmy overclocked 1100. Its a good CPU but needs to drop to the $180 range, at 5ghz wasnt bad you just need a custom water loop or its not worth buying

Dual x8 isn't going to bottleneck anything whatsoever: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131792
