Honestly. I would have bought a Ultra PSU like mine. Yes its not as good as the Antecs, Corsairs, Seasonics, etc. But at least they have a better reputation than what you have purchased. I could only find 2 customer reviews on your PSU and neither were good. You took a chance and rolled the dice and unfortunately you rolled "snake eyes" on that deal.

Mi rcommend that you look for a better quality PSU. Stay with Corsair, Seasonic, Antec. If those are out of your price range and you only have limited funds I have had good success with the Ultra LSP series. Alot of guys here will tell you to stay away from them but I have had the same PSU for almost 4 years now and through all my upgrades and folding it has never hiccupped on me. Paid $50 for my 650w PSU and it has served me well.

I checked out your PSU. Looks rather poor, but not nearly bad enough to be causing the problems everyone describes.

There isn't much documentation I can find on how Asus Anti-Surge actually works and what it actually detects. Does it freak out of the motherboard voltage sensors detect out of spec voltage at startup? Or if the PS_ON or PWR_OK are out of spec? I don't know.

Disable Asus Anti-Surge and tell me how your computer behaves with it off.

If you bought it in the last year then it's a mediocre Andyson effort that's probably no better than the OP's and tops out at around 450-550W. If you bought it one to two years ago it's probably a crappy RSY piece of junk that can't do more than 350W. If you bought it before that then congratulations on having one of the one in ten thousand occurrences, a Wintech that didn't explode within 24 months.

Ultra has a reputation, and it is baaaaaaaaaad. And well-deserved.

If this works, it might be an unstable overclock.

You might not be able to unlock the core, its a luck of the draw really.
