This sucks. The campaign was what really made me think this game was really worth the extra money I spent on it over every other PC game. I hope this reduction in levels comes with a reduction in price. The split in 3 games only works if your getting your value out of all 3.

Why did you give me so much gameplay Blizzard?

I want the game that took 10,000,000 years to develop to have a campaign that I can beat in one day!
I guess most of those people never spent 100+ hours beating every little thing in Final Fantasy 7 or anything like it.

Bull. KJ and Illidan were harder than any bosses in Vanilla, Yogg+0 and LK 25H were harder than those. H Rag is about on par with WotLK. All Blizzard did with WoW was add the option for casual players to raid while maintaining hardcore content for the hardcore. It's always funny to see that the people claiming WoW is too casual almost never have the heroic achieves.

Back on topic, while a shorter campaign is unfortunate, I fail to see what in the hell this has to do with "casual play".

Starcraft 1 came out and had campaigns for all 3 races, The units didnt get added or removed and it wasnt until Brood war were they additions but it was a separate game but the point is that Starcraft 1 came out as a full title.

10 years later they release Starcraft 2 and its just Terran campaign and it just feels like its incomplete. How could they have not "Completed" the game in that time unless it was purely financial reasons. I swear if they release Heart of Swarm for $60 bucks then thats ripoff! Obviously there are tons of strategy and I love the game to death but it doesnt seem as varied as Starcraft 1 was...My point is all. Hell I watch HDstarcraft and HuskyStarcraft on my phone almost every night Helps me sleep

The campaign was NOT too long! It was good length and made the game feel worth the money.

This is not a thread about wow, so this is the only answer I will make on this topic. Still if a game has some hard bits, it doesn't mean the overall feeling and marketing placement of it isn't aimed at the casual players. That's the way they make more money and I'm ok with it, just saddened to see my loved games becoming well... something else.

And making the campaign shorter because most players didn't finish it is casualizing the game, and we are talking about a campaign that takes 12 - 15hrs at max if you take your time playing it, less than 10 if you are good with the game already.

Making a shorter campaign is just so those casual players can feel a sense of closure and achievement when they finish t in 6 h, when they really din't put any effort into finishing the main story line of the game.

..Doesn't make any sense. Doing a 6 hour campaign isn't any more "casual" than doing a 12 hour campaign.
