Thanks guys!

My camera has unfortunately been "borrowed" so I haven't been able to post last weeks pics. I'll be stealing it back soon though tongue.gif and hopefully will have a working mobo lighting solution this weekend if all goes well!

Ok so I had hoped to get my camera back and work some more on this mod this weekend, but... stupid company sent me the wrong kind of acrylic, leaving me a very unhappy camper thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

As a result, I decided to switch acrylic sources and now am ordering high end acrylic straight from the makers of Acrylite. Wish I'd found their webstore much sooner! For those interested in purchasing acrylic in the future, this is their website
http://www.acrylite-shop.com/US/us/aboutus.htm?$category=opn6ydpjhhk

Much cheaper prices than the resellers and they do custom sized cuts. I'll let you all know how their service turns out. thumb.gif

Thanks a lot for all the replies and support guys!

I know it's been a LONG time since I updated, but I blame stupid companies messing up my orders mad.gif

However, over the last 2 weekends I've poured about 16 hrs into LED and acrylic testing and have compiled all my results!
Every question you probably NEVER had about about acrylic and LED lighting is now tested and explored!

http://www.overclock.net/t/1187138/banthracis-extensive-led-and-acrylic-lighting-testing#post_15985420

And that's just Part I thumb.gif

However, suffice to say I've finally figured out how to get a beautiful white glow in under 8mm of space! Not quite 6mm, so I had to buy some 8mm standoffs, oh well!

Here's some of the types of acrylic I've been testing. Details in the above thread.

This is what I had a couple weeks back that left me really unsatisfied, and led to the stalling of this project as I tried to solve the problem.

Here's what the final motherboard lighting will look like. Left is under studio lighting, right is in the dark. I think that's good enough for me to be happy biggrin.gif

I'm happy to say that after getting the orders from these guys, I couldn't be happier. Also, unlike most other places, when I order 12" by 12" sheets, I actually got 12" by 12" sheets and not 11.75 sheets or 11.5" sheets. Prices were also great, so thumb.gif for them.

Haha, I'll be honest, only reason I don't like the blue is because I've got blue LED's on my monitors, blue back lighting on my keyboard, blue leds in the current case, blue LED's on my work PC.... yea, blue LED overload tongue.gif
