In order to check if it's actually working, you could use something like Soluto (an anti-frustration software that helps you with faster start ups and so on. ) to check that it's actually working.
The only thing i didnt do so far is enabling the AHCI but i'll do that now.
But good to know i didn't do anything wrong, honestly when i bought this i never expected that i needed to do anything, because i used HDD's for so many time and i never changed any configurations on them.

Like this:
So those are the steps i need to follow in case i need to make a fresh install of windows 7? Ok, thanks a lot because if i didn't know this i would just boot from the DVD and format it right away.

Haha, good, you should see a little improvement...also idk of trim is enabled or not. After you enable AHCI if you didn't install it with AHCI enabled check to see if trim is enabled:

Verify TRIM is enabled on your SSD

A) Click start and type in cmd and hit the enter key
B) Type in fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify
- DisableDeleteNotify = 1 (Windows TRIM commands are disabled)
- DisableDeleteNotify = 0 (Windows TRIM commands are enabled)

Just follow the steps in TwoCables post in the guide I sent you and you should be set.

Windows should format it automatically fine, but I like doing it myself

I just enabled AHCI on the BIOS, very nice indeed!

I'll check about the trim now. Anyway, thanks a lot for the information dude.

@ DisableDeleteNotify = 0 this is what i got, so far so good.

About the

(2) Check if S1 and S3 sleep are supported in bios, I usually set S1 but S3 should be ok also....if they are not in bios there is nothing you can do

(3) Check ACPI 2.0 is in bios and enabled, if its not in bios there is nothing you can do.

i didn't find anything related to this in my bios, i'm using a Z68x-Ud3-b3 but i didn't do any bios update so i don't know if i have this option enabled or not.

Those should be in the bios somewhere but it doesn't matter much.

If you find the S1 or S3 sleep modes I like having mine set to S3 myself.

With ACPI you would have to reinstall windows for it to work properly...or atleast I think it does from past experience that is what I remember.

Here's some general info on it if you want to learn any: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance...ower_Interface

I never used that either, but it is suppose to reset your SSD's nand to factory spec performance.

Oh well, i really dont want to reinstall everything again because i just finished.
Will it hurt to leave this ACPI setting alone? Will try to find the S1 or S3 sleep modes tho. Thanks!

@edit

after enabling AHCI a new screen is showing while the computer is booting, it goes away really fast but does it have something to do with this setting? Is it normal for me to be seeing it everytime i boot? At the end of the screen it says something like "AHCI bios enabled" or something like that.

Also do you have the most up to date sata drivers from intel? http://downloadcenter.intel.com/conf...age+Technology
