New build some advice please :D - Page 2

here are my suggestions . . .

Ram matches your mobo and one of the best:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231277

HSF same company as your mobo:
http://www.evga.com/products/moreInf...ipherals&sw=22

GPU since 1 GBs are starting to show their age and same company as mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130683

and stay away from sandforce controller for ssd

The Max IOPS OCZ is good now that they fixed the firmware. Everyone preaches the M4, but it is slower, and i have both. Sandforce is fine. Most people who say stay away from Sandforce are just going off of forum posts.

Id kick down to the 2600k and get better video cards.

Also try to go for a 1000w psu like a HX1000 if you get better gpus

Seriously, though, the motherboard, CPU, and RAM seem a bit expensive for what you get.
It's EVGA.. you get what you pay for in a sense.. so what are your suggestions for a mobo?

If they are similar in price, personally the OCZ, just pay attention to warranty and return policies on everything you buy.

Id recommend the Asrock extreme 7 gen3 mobo

The sandforce thing is a classic case of an extremely vocal MINORITY. You can find problems with the M4s too. Just visit the crucial forums.

HAF X is about the same size and isn't much better for cooling than the HAF 932 which is $40 less. If your gonna go water cooling, any of the Corsair cases except 400/500r are great. For the mobo I would suggest this to save some money: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...N82E1681313175 Unless you see yourself going triple sli/trifire in the future, your spending way too much on that mobo. RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231428 G. Skilll makes some great RAM, plus it matches the board. Like others have said I would go Crucial M4 for SSD, both are very fast but Crucial seems to be a lot more reliable, have had some problems with OCZ power supplies personally. With your budget I would probably go 2x 6950 2gb or a 580 3gb. Recent games have been using well over 1gb of VRAM so both would be great, future-proof choices. Depending on which you get you should have quite a bit left over to spend on a nice eyefinity monitor setup.

Yeah get the ram he recommended. Minimal benefits going faster than 1600CL9 for 49, can't beat the gskills

How about something like this:

Swap out those GTX 580's for the ones found on

and you will save $20 each. You will then be under budget.

Also, I would swap out the HDD for a F3 when they come back in stock and on sale.

Hope this helps!

EDIT:
Don't waste your money on a large SSD. You will not see any benefit really. Get a 64GB and it for a OS drive and a common program drive. I have a large SSD, I feel like I wasted money. This way you can spend more money on parts that will increase your Gaming experience. SSD's wont let you respawn any quicker

You are missing an after market cooler, just pick up a 212+ since you are WC in the future. 212+ is a very good cooler either way.

I never include a CD Drive in my builds either, if you need one and can't use one from your current system, add $20

They are good drive, but they are also overpriced. The F3 will outperform it. Which is why i stated to swap it out when it comes back in stock. You should also wait for Black Friday or Cyber Monday if you can. Prices should drop and you should be able to save some $$$.

EDIT:
Here is a link to the F3, you can usually find it on sale for $70.
