So I can use steam chat in-game. I have a lot of friends on steam and almost non on orgin. I think a lot of people are in the same situation.

It makes it so you can use the steam overlay in game, that steam chat and such.

Yeah, not all that. Takes 2 seconds to launch the game from Origin. You'd rather play a hideous, nerfed version of the game on console or something? You have a GTX 590...

I will give it some time to see if BF3 pops up on steam

I have heard the whole argument of steam vs origin and why EA won't put BF3 on steam
Now I have difficulty trusting EA after all these years so here is my guess to the real reason...
They want to rake in all the money from pre-sales to launch date to get maximum profit
But chances are im wrong but a good guess anyways

But back to the point if BF3 isn't on steam in like a month or so I will just get Origin load it through steam and fix the issue
But I can wait

My brother pre-ordered it on 360 for me for my birthday, i'm not going to buy another copy at full price.

If it ever comes to steam I might but not with origin, my experiences with the beta and origin were horrendous.

In-fact I may even pirate the SP if it lacks the origin attachment.

So far using orgin and renaming it to BF3 seems to be the only way to add the game to steam and use the steam in game features.
