BF3 Crashes, Only On First Launch

I'm having an issue where BF3 crashes shortly after my first launch. After reloading I can play without crashing until I restart my computer. It's weird that it only crashes the first time I load the game. I sent a ticket into EA and they said the issue was addressed, which obviously it wasn't since it continues happening to me.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a fix?

I thought I'd try on here since EA isn't helpful and obviously full of S***. It seems like they rather say an issue has been addressed to comfort people, without actually addressing the issue. LAME

I had it crash on my the first time i ran it last night. It was an error that listed origin at first. It happened when I tried to adjust video settings. Then I got it running again and I got a BSOD for atikmpag so I increased paging to 1000mb since it was zero. I know many are having issues with crashes. I have seen some say that it is related to 3rd party processes like MSI Afterburner causing conflicts. I am not sure what the fix is exactly. I was able to play last night for around 2 hours but anytime I tried to adjust video settings the game would freeze or crashed. I had these same issues with BC2. ONly EA games give my system issues.

Basically this is an issue with bad drivers and bad coding on EA's side that do not play well together it seems.

I am using MSI Afterburner, I just noticed that after the game crashes my card reverts back to the stock speeds. I guess the issue is with MSI afterburner. Usually when I have a problem with overclocking my screen goes black and my fans start spinning really fast. I'm going to mess around with afterburner and see if I can find some settings that work.

MAke sure you try turning off "Enable low-level hardware access interface" It may be causing issues as well. I can run it with it left on but some cant for some reason.

My 1st game always crashes when the game manager is joining a server. Every time. Lots of people have the same issue on the official forums.

My insight on this.... I have the same problem. The crash is almost always with offset 0001c6ec. By googling this I noticed it happens on pretty much every different piece of hardware. I then thought it's software's fault and messaged a guy with the same problem to share all the applications we have installed on our machines. The guy said he doesn't crash recently and he thinks it's because he lowered the settings/graphics. I then started to troubleshoot the problem by changing few of the settings in game and trying to not get a first time crash. The only time it didn't crash is when I lowered the motion blur, turned vertical sync on and lowered the field of view. However with the same settings now I got a black screen on first start up... and I'm kinda already pissed off from this thing and EA/DICE should fix this.
