Post pics so can see interference.
All depends where problem is as to metal removal.

If not comfortable with mods, Don't.RMA!!

Measure twice and cut once and all that.

Ok so My second card is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo

Which is the second revision of the PCB, so while it's reference, it is version two.. SO the reference PCB gpu blocks I picked up, one of them won't work.

Depends just how bad its not fitting, as long as you are gentle and you have the right tools and a steady hand it can be done.

Like he said, if you feel uncomfortable doing it DONT, if you think "yea it needs a little hole here and a little jiggle there and it will go in easy... I can do this" then do it

Worse case is just sell the wrong block off and buy the correct one.

Can you take a pic of the card and block area that is causing the problem.

If just clearancing in non critical area to clear, go for it.

But as stated if any doubts< Don't

I'm going to install the stock cooler back on the gpu, and finish my W/C setup. I'll call about sending that waterblock back to performance pc's tomorrow, and search for a new block. When I find a block that works i'm just going to tear it back down again.

Yeah i'll show you with a picture, 2 seconds

You can see where that row of capacitors don't clear it at all on the right

If you drop the block down flush on the board while lining up the
anchors points, how close is it to the cans?
Overlap?
Sit on top?

Hard to tell in that pic.
