2500k with h50 pnp hitting +56c browsing

post #1 of 25
Thread Starter
I clocked my 2500k yesterday to 4.5 ghz with 1.275 Vcore and i was hitting 73 max on core 1 while gaming bc2. Today I realized that might not be a healthy temperature for a 32nm so im back att stock and core 0 and cor 3 is idleing at 30ish and hitting 40-41 while browsing web and core 1-2 about 40-48 and got caught at !!56!! degrees celsius while facebooking only. I have a h50 pnp wich should to the job verry well and I have a good amount of thermalpaste. What to doo???

Have you had better temps than this before with the same OC?

a good amount of thermal paste?
sounds like you gooped too much on lol.
Safest method is to use the "pea-size" dot in the center and when you put the heatsink on, it will spread it evenly. Less is more when it comes to TIM.

On another note, it would be interesting to find out your temps while running Prime95, or gaming.

Safest method is to use the "pea-size" dot in the center and when you put the heatsink on, it will spread it evenly. Less is more when it comes to TIM.

On another note, it would be interesting to find out your temps while running Prime95, or gaming.

could not stand knowing my baby was in pain and suffer so i did a quickie with the cooler.
taking of the cooler noticing there was not that even layer around the cpu mostley in the middle. so i reseated the cooler and cleaned with some red etanol (t-röd in sweden) and wiped of with coffee filter and tops. used the pea size but it didnt go like a perfect ball more like a mountain top. after 10 minutes my prime temps are
core0=56
core1=66
core2=65
core3=56
vcore on 1.210 and standard clocks.
Minding this is with a h50 pnp im still pretty dissapointed, or should i??

now im woundering if I really wiped every singel wet surface of from that alcohol since i was in sucha rush....... the think booted up and is running now anyways..

Seems good, your temps are similar to those in the sandy stable club.
