Worth a RMA?

Thread Starter
So I got my Lian Li PC-K56 in today

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112236

And the window has seven little marks over it. The biggest one in the pictures below.

The big one is visible from about a foot away, the other ones not so much.

Initially, I thought "Well, I could RMA and wait... and wait. To fix the window. Or I could live with it...and get asked about the mark every time someone sees the computer up close."

To get my mind off the case, I opened up my PSU I ordered when I was thinking a slightly more expensive Lian-Li that was top-mounted...before I talked myself into the cheaper case above.

And now, I just need some advice. I do not have all the parts yet. I was going to order the motherboard today before I got distracted/demoralized.

If it bothers you a lot you should definitely complain and RMA it. A product should never be delivered in a bad state.

I was gonna say the same thing.
If you've got a product isn't in a good condition when you receive it, you should definitely do something to get it replaced.
Seeing as you havn't gotten your other parts, I'd say RMA it.

Aaaand, a little heads up, don't loose the moral, just think of how wonderful the finished product will be.

Send Lian-Li an email with pictures, they may just send you a new window/side panel. Their support is pretty damn good, but it may take a week or two to get from Taiwan.

You purchased a brand new case and you want it right.

Any experience with NewEgg RMAs?

The reason I included the PSU part is because I'm also debating between Replace and Return for the case. I mean, upside down stickers and window spots.

Might be worth the re-stocking fee. 15% of 56= 8.40

Shipping is another story.

I have RMA'ed many things with newegg (gpus and mobos) but never a case. I have always had to cover shipping fees and they usually want you to go through UPS, so I would expect to have to pay $20-25 to ship the case back to them,

I RMA-ed a PSU for a screw that was popped out out of the box and couldn't retighten and got them to cover the return shipping.

Iv'e returned a defective case to Newegg. All you need to do is go ahead and get your RMA number on line then call them. Tell them you want to return the defective case and would like a return shipping label. They will email you one pronto. You don't have to pay to return a 'Defective' item.

In my case (not computer case) I just called them direct without going online and spoke to them nicely which equalled what you said that EMailed UPS label.
