(Better) Alternatives to the Corsair A70

Thread Starter
Hey, in a few days I'm ordering a new pc. My future specs are:

I5 2500K --> Looking for the most stable OC at the lowest possible V.
Asus P8P67 Pro Rev 3.1
8 GB Corsair Vengeance Low Profile.
Fractal Design Define R3 with 2 intake fans at front, 1 140 mm intake bot, one top exhaust and one back exhaust..
MSI NGTX 560 TI Twin Frozer II 2GB edition
XFX Pro Series 750 Watt Core edition
Western Digital 750 GB Caviar Black
...

I have read alot of reviews about coolers and had first picked out the noctua NH-D14. After a few days of pondering I thought it might be abit overkill for what I'm doing (Gaming mostly). So I decided that maybe the Corsair A70 might be a good idea.
After then reading alot in this part of the forums, it seems not many people have this cooler or are too fond of it.

Do you guys have any better alternatives to the A70? I'm willing to spend about 50 Euros (70$) on a cooler. I would really appreciate some feedback.

Thank you very much in advance!

Sergov

I would go with the NH-D14. It and the Silver Arrow are the two best air coolers out there, except for those people who still say the megahalems is better. Anyway the NH-D14 is a little bit less than the silver arrow and much easier to find.

I know it's really great, but it costs about 70 Euros from where I'm buying. If there is any cheaper alternative that would be better. Thanks for the reply tho.

A cheaper alternative would be the Cogage Arrow, and comes with only one 120 mm fan. But not sure if this is available where you live tho.

Can you buy from Caseking.de? Silver Arrow for 50€. Note: I've never bought from them.

I checked alternate Belgium and they don't sell Thermalright, weird.

Other good alternatives: TR Archon or Venomous-X.

The TR Archon is available on the shop where I'm buying for 55 euros (which is doable) The HR-02 Macho is only 37 Euros tho, but it seems to need some sort of new retention plate to fit on the Asus mobo and that is not sold...

Hmmm...
