Qx9650 help!

Thread Starter
Hey guys, i just recently upgraded to a QX9650 and would like to reach 4ghz stable. I have a Liquid Cooling system, EP45-UD3P MB, 8GB of Patriot Gamer Ram(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220409), Intel SS Drive, Windows 7 64bit. Im looking for info as far as vcore voltage, ram timing and voltage etc etc. Basically overclocking from scratch.

Your help is greatly appreciated

thanks

not like q6600 at all..

65nm to 45nm..

dont go over 1.4v core
and keep under 65c.

max spec for mine is 72c but dono what yours is.

should be really easy with water.
stick everything on auto and turn vcore up to 1.4 and ghz to 4 then slowly turn down the core volts until its not stable then turn up one more.

Out of curiosity, how much was the QX? Also what's your VID? You can check this on Core Temp. Mine is 1.2375.

At 4Ghz, mine takes 1.43 in bios otherwise it doesn't boot. I'm sure I just have a bad chip as others run it under 1.4 volts. (400x10)

As for ram timings and volts, it should say on the ram itself.

Or, a quick google can find it.

I am thinking about selling the q6600.

Wow so much info, I will leave everything on auto and turn vcore to 1.4v and go from there. To get to 4ghz should I turn the multiplier up? It's unlocked so I can turn it all the way to 30

Ok i noticed something, if my processor doesnt have a load on it, it will run at 2ghz - 2.2ghz.

Screen shot of idle is attached and shot of realtemp doing a load shows core speed at 4.1ghz

Also my voltage says 3.75v - 3.6v But cmos vcore is 1.4v, why is that?
