I fixed BF3 joystick issues. Here's how! - Page 5

So it seems BF3 only wants to accept my joystick inputs that are controlled by the "On foot or vehicle" keybind sections. With everything at default a few of my JS inputs work, but when I unbind any JS keys from the On Foot and Vehicle keybind section nothing on the joystick will work frown.gif

If anyone finds a way to get a Thrustmaster T16000M working I'd love to hear it!

So I have a similar joystick as the OP, Wingman Digital Extreme 3D, and went through the whole process as described. I am so close to having this work, yet so far at the same time due to one major problem... for some reason, there is one axis that is ****ed for both jets and choppers. For jets, I can't correctly map to "roll left & right" and for choppers I can't correctly map to "pitch up & down." It is just those two things, everything else I can map correctly and it works in-game.

I have tried repeatedly "clearing" both of those mappings because I noticed that while experimenting by using different buttons for each, I'd sometimes have to "clear" it 3-4 times before the mapping would be removed... which made me wonder if it was somehow "stacking" different button mappings and required multiple "clears" before being truly set back to "null." Hope that makes sense... although I know it doesn't on so many levels.

Anyway, does anyone know if there's a way to manually map an axis in a config file or anything? All I really need to do is get my X-Axis working for jets and Y-Axis for choppers, and I'd be set. So frustrating!

On my 360 controller, my X for jets was inverted as well, so left would actually roll right, and that was game-breaking.

Yeah I've heard of the inversion problem, but that's not what I'm experiencing. I literally can't get it to map the X-Axis to "roll" for jets, or the Y-Axis to "pitch" for choppers. Like when I go to map it for either one, and then move the joystick along the desired axis, it'll recognize the movement and seem to "take" but then it'll just show up blank under that mapping. I have no idea what the deal is because it is only happening on those specific settings under those specific vehicles. Soooo dumb.

Hey guys, there may be another variable here. I use a Belkin n52te and cannot get anything to work. I found this thread.

http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/list/7676363.page

Looks like the game/windows only wants to use one more piece of hardware. If you are using a keypad+mouse you might not get your joystick working.

Im going to try to remap my Logitech Freedom 2.4 using joytokey tonight and then just use the default "mouse" bindings in the game without changing them.

Hmmm, interesting. I have a G13, which is apparently recognized by Windows as a game controller, so this may indeed be my problem when trying to use my controller. Going to try unplugging the G13 and using the keyboard only tonight with the controller and see if it recognizes it then. Thanks for the post! Here's to hoping... Though I really hate using the keyboard instead of the G13...

Just attempted to try to use the Ace Combat Xbox 360 controller (wired), didn't work. Followed this guide perfectly. Restarted with the hardware plugged in. Nothing worked.

I currently have a Razer Naga and Logitech G19. I hope those aren't conflicting like arcsum says. If it is, the configuring issue needs to be addressed _._

Found this thread via Google.

EDIT: I also have a Wireless Xbox 360 receiver to sync controllers with, but there's nothing synced with it.
