Thread Starter

Hi,today a friend asked me to help him on the installation of an access point because his house is to big for his router but I couldn't make it to work :/

He has AT&T DSL and his Modem/Router is the Netopia 3000 and this is the

the only way that I get it to work was if I connected the Access Point with a cable directly to his Modem/Router but that is not what he wants, he wants to connect it without cable, he want it to be wireless, I know that it can be be done but I don't know the how to do it :/

Can someone please help me please

If you read the manual (http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...hnm5V_w9_Rq4Og), there are two supported modes of operation.
1) Broadcasting wifi and using ethernet as an uplink
2) Using wifi as a client link and bridging that with the ethernet interface.

You're looking for more of a 'wireless repeater'.
A few exist on the market and any DD-WRT router would also be able to do this.

Keep in mind that an AP with a wired uplink will always perform to a much higher degree.
