What may be visible is the increased sharpness due to higher resolution.
If your only going to print 8X10 and not crop then why buy a 24 megapixel camera in the first place though?
The whole point of adding extra megapixels to a sensor should be to increase resolution but if your doing so at the cost of adding more noise to even base ISO then your loosing much/all of that extra resolution to noise reduction. This is the kind of dishoniest marketing thats been going on for years with compact cameras and its disapointing to see Sony trying to get away with it on a DSLR.
