Haven't touched Eyefinity yet. Heard Eyefinity is broken for most people, and so I decided to enjoy the game in 1920x1200.confused.gif

Quick question,

For years I had always used FRAPS, and now I have MSI loaded for just a week or so and am using 2X 6970's in CF, both cards have 2GB...

I wanted to know how do you check for how much VRAM you are using as I have system stats showing both GPU's temp & clock + Memory and speed, so what do I need to do to see VRAM usage ?

Thanks in advance...

Download the latest GPU-Z (I believe its version 5.5) and click on sensors. MSI Afterburner also shows VRam usage, but its not as condensed as GPU-z

The most I've seen so far is 1.3GB on my 590 - everything
maxed out at 1080p.

Haven't seen it above 1.3GB-1.4GB on mine, that is everything maxed out on Ultra includong MSAAx4, AA Post HIGH, Motion Blur, and HBAO.

I think those who get +2GB of vRam usage are exaggerating, either that, or they're on 3 monitors, it can't really use that much RAM for single 1080p/1200p monitor, unless you are forcing like MSAAx32 lol.

I'm running high with AA off and AF at 8x. No lag or stuttering for me so I guess my card is holding up fine thumb.gif

Then again, I'm playing at 1680x1050. I would imagine that my VRAM is getting close to maxed out though.

BF3 is the new Crysis.

MSI AB and GPU-Z never showed my VRAM usage on my HIS 6950 until the newest version of GPU-Z (5.5?). Just noticed the other day I could finally check VRAM. Afterburner was quickly deleted. No more use for it with GPU-z and FRAPS running.
