BF3 Actual VRAM Usage - Page 5

Maybe the game uses as close as your max vram as possible? somehow... I bet when I get to play it uses about 800Mb on my 260.

I sit at 1gb vram usage the whole play time and still get perfectly playable fps with my 560 ti 1gb on ultra with just a few settings turned down

I agree it seems to just take whatever it can get but performance doesn't seem to really get hurt with less (to a point of course).

I always seem to be using about 1.3gb of ram.

Thread Starter
I just realized that I may have had triple buffering on during some of my "test", which may have affected vram usage. I'll give it another shot, turning buffering and in-game AA on and off, and check back in.

Thanks for the info, I really do not have any issues with MSI as I like see my temps for my GPU's in game but I will check and see what VRAM I am using...

My graphic settings are exactly the same as yours (except I have antialiasing post on high) but MSI A/B shows only 990-1010mb memory usage with my 460s. And I rarely notice fps drops due to vram bottleneck.

I have 2 screens each 1440p. I was wondering should I buy another 570 (SLI) or should just sell the 570 and buy a 4GB videocard ? I game btw on only 1 monitor.

My 580 1.5GB is always maxed out as far as vram goes. With everything on ultra, 1680x1050, no AA, i see vram usage at 1470, which is consuming every bit of vram.
