An open letter of thanks to Corsair

Few months back my H50 started exhibiting a few issue, specifically a mechanically sounding click. And while it did not affect the temperature, it had me worried. Between a possible pump going out, air being in the lines, I didn't want my baby to get sick. So FINALLY I broke down and contacted Corsair, I did no think I still had the stock receipt, but they were still willing and gracious enough to take it anyways. Upon shipping I found that I did, and included a copy with my RMA. I figured they would fix what needed to be fixed, or send me some refurbed unit like most other companies in today's world, so only included the cooler, and the receipt in the original box when I shipped it. Kept the original fan in my box o fans, and the brackets in my computer.

This evening courtesy of mr ups man in his cute shorts, I received a BRAND NEW H50 wrapped in plastic. NEW. I would like to apologize I did not return the original fan and bracketry with my rma, as i did not include it when I sent it in. I would like to say THANK YOU that you sent me a new, in the plastic unit, relatively quick after I FINALLY got around to sending it to you. I own and operate a successful computer repair business and deal with many companies on a weekly basis, and know how rma's can go sometimes disastrously wrong.

I would like to mention that most companies call or email often, questions, blurbs, etc etc during the RMA status, you guys kept it to 2 emails, and in both were direct, answered any questions and did not leave me wondering. If anything it felt weird to have so little communication, yet reassuring as I did not have anything to ask (does that make sense?). I purchased my first Corsair product back in 2007, and from the reliability and build quality of that PSU I was won over, and I have sense purchased two additional psu's because of my happiness. As well shown examples of your products in action to friends, family, and even customers and sold them on processors, ram, and coolers.

This recent RMA process has done nothing but to solidify that belief that Corsair is an excellent company, and I hope to do business with you for many, many years to come.

Another excellent Corsair RMA. They are indeed an excellent company that really works with their customers.

Crash always recommends them because of a very pleasant RMA I had with them as well not too long ago.

Hardly. The item proved defective as I have done no modifications, besides add a fan for push/pull configuration.

The point of my signature pertaining to rma are directed at users whom overclock cpu/gpu's till they pop, or do something ridiculous like drop them, admit it on the open forum, then attempt to claim rma.

I wonder if they know you are an OCN moderator, either by your directly telling them or indirectly by noting 'Greensystemsgo' as part of your email address?

I can only wish they have this level of support worldwide (vs just in the USA).

There is zero connection between my moderator status here on Overclock.net, The name 'Greensystemsgo', and my RMA. And honestly that's how it should be. A proper RMA should not require open threats of public slander, and the fact that it has come to so is extremely disappointing. I have had bad luck, and surprisingly with very large companies, while the smaller (corsair for example) have the respect of excellent customer service.

There has been more then one occasion on this forum, it is both against TOS, and the law as it is considered fraud.

I suppose if you try to scam them in one way or another, otherwise i dont think so. They do not get alot of press regarding their rma process, and going through the process now I would assume because they have no issues.
