monitor that will let me choose input?

For some reason, I need a feature which I guess isn't that well known about. A friend of mine has an LG Flatron W2241T and he has it in a pair but one of the monitors is also connected to a kvm switch and is able to be switched at the monitor (source button) from the VGA to the DVI connector. His is a few years old and discontinued.

This seems like a hybrid to me, not quite all the bits to make a TV but more than most monitors I see with dual inputs. Do most monitors with HDMI built in have a source or input button?

Anyone know of other good 22" 24" monitors that will do this? I know any TV will do it I'm just trying to put together a workstation PC and this feature would be very convenient in a shop environment.

Thanks for looking!

all the monitors i've had so far has had this "feature". To be honest I haven't seen a monitor without the ablility to switch inputs if multiple inputs are available.

Well, actually.... I have 8 monitors in front of me right now. None have this feature. 3 Dell's, (2 17" and one 20"), 2 Acer AL2216W's, 1 Acer AL1917 and a pair of daewoo 15" monitors.

Furthermore, your statement while possibly true, lacks any and all information which was requested to further me in finding a suitable monitor selection which all have this source feature.

Having listed only a 27" imac in your sig screams NOOB!

So, I'll ask again. If you have a monitor that has this source feature, LIST THE FRIGGING MODEL SO I CAN FIND INFO ON IT. Simply saying you have one will be further frowned upon. :')

My hp w2207 does this. Its pretty old though. The 2 dells (p2210) i have in front of me also have this feature. I would say look for monitors made recently, I got my hp in 2007 or 2008.

Thank you so much Podunk. I just can't believe this feature isn't searchable in any online comparisons. I am an Asus distributor and none of out Asus monitors that are currently in stock have this feature.

Thanks again!!
