I waited to buy a new amd bulldozer system but i gave up on them & decided to switch to intel.

i got 350$ for an new intel i5 2500k cpu +mobo + ram.

cpu : intel i5 2500k
mobo : any basic mobo ( got asus xonar dx so i could care less about fancy stuffs on mobo )
ram : ddr3 ram that suits me best for my gtx 460

thanks & hope to get some great answers!

do you live close to a microcenter? They have a few ads for a mobo/cpu combo for 250-280 + tax.

If you have a microcenter near you they have the best prices @ 179.99. Also of near a frys you can go there and they will price match microcenter. Just buy it at their price and then go to returns for the refund. Its easier that way.

Basic board go ASUS or Gb open box. H61 maybe.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813131716R
Or p67
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813128487R

And throw in 4 Gb of Ripjaws.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231277

CPu $180, Board, $60, Mem $32 = $272. Gives you some head room for a better board or memory.

I didn't catch that. Best you will probably do online is around $220. But of you go with the lower end ASUS you can still get in under $350.

Swyped from my Gingerbread house.

You need a Z68 or P67 for overclocking. So,

CPU: $225+SH http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16819115072

RAM: $31+SH http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16820231427

Z68 board w/ SLI, $115 shipped: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16813128502

OR: P67 board, no SLI, $89+sh: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16813130576

That's about as cheap as you'll get, either $345+SH or $360+SH if you want a Z68 SLI board. idk if other places in Canada are cheaper. Other option I suppose is H61 and don't overclock past the turbo boost.
