Sennheiser HD555s or AD700's to go with Titanium HD

So I recently picked up a Titanium HD, and have been using it with my Sony MDR-NC60's, and I hate them. They don't particularly sound bad to me, I'm definitely no audiophile, but they are ungodly uncomfortable. After like 1 hour of gaming they start to wear on my neck.

I've been reading through different threads, and it seems like in my price range <$100, either the HD555's or AD700's are the most recommended. I have a friend that has the HD555's, and a pair of HD595's, and he highly recommends the hd555's with the foam mod.

Between the 2, which is generally more comfortable? Also, does the hd555 "modded" pull ahead of the AD700's?

My main concern is for gaming, but i also like music, mainly alternative/indy rock/punk/hardcore.

I also need some new speakers too, apparently my 10 year old 5.1 creative speakers (down to 2.1 because I lost a few of the satellites) don't work with this card, but I think I want to pick up the headphones first.

I have the AD700's, and they're about as light as air. Very comfortable. They sound great also. I've never tried the sennheisers though, so I can't help there.

I have the same setup with Titanium HD with ad700's. They are great and the mids and highs definitely shine like no tomorrow. However with the clear highs and mids you are really able to perceive positioning and soundstage better. Which at first i made me think that my ad700 were imbalanced.

The hd555 with mods should be great but it will depend on what music you listen to. Stuff with strong bass such as dubstep i would go with 555's, however 558 are the successor to 555's

Cool guys, I think I'll go with the AD700's. I can find them cheaper than the HD555's, or HD558's at the moment. I mainly just need something that's comfortable for longer gaming sessions.

Those new hd598's look pretty sick, I don't don't have $250 to drop on some headphones because I find them aesthetically pleasing.
