BF3 Crashes every 25 minutes - Page 3

mmmm it's weird, i'm playing on Ultra with my Gtx 570 and have no problems so far.
I'm using the last drivers 285.62 and i have been playing for 3 hours without any issue, my fps drops to 45 sometimes but it runs pretty well above 60 fps most of the time, the only option i have disabled is Antialising because i don't really see any difference, maybe there is the problem, try to disable antialising features guys and see if the game still is crashing. Hope it helps.

I dropped my OC from 4.8 to 4.4
Crashing problem solved as far as I can tell... Just played 8 rounds.

Still getting various flashing of colors indicative of a bad video card or drivers. Doesn't happen in any other game.

Same problem here. Was happening in the beta too.

And stop saying that downclocking or some driver, or overheating, because these dont give any REAL solution for anyone. Since the crashes appear randomly, and a lot of people are just judging after some minutes or a hour of playing.

Yesterday i was also able to play 1 hour on SQDM, but before that, i had a freeze in CQ large every 5 minutes, and in SP too, after some 20 mins...

ITS NOT YOUR HARDWARE.

Its even statistically very unlikely, that all the 10000 people complaining about the same crash, have all faulty hardware, oc, or overheating, etc... And only happening in BF3? Yeah, sure...

DICE has to fix this bug. Even Zh1nt0 said yesterday, that "We are on it smile.gif".

I think it's a bug with the game. I am experiencing random issues as well. My stable overclocks for my gpus that I have ran for a year started to crash when I play BF3. Also now I'm noticing that my gpu usage goes from like 90 whatever percent to 0-20 percent causing massive spikes..

i'm still playing BC2 and frequently would lose connection. I've tried everything that's suggested....disable realtek, got a soundcard, done all the special settins....etc...at that time i didn't use Afterburner....and still i lost connections......

And i'm depending a lot on Afterburner now to tame the fan noise so disabling Afterburner for me is not an option......

Check this thread out, increase your page file 2048 of your system ram and your issue should go away mate, good luck.

Guys, I HIGHLY DOUBT it's becaus of overclocking. Although that may be the problem in some cases it seems to be that it's more related to DX11. I don't know if the AMD cards are also having the problem so I can't say if it's Nvidia based or not.

I ran the BF3 beta using my 280GTX (DX10) and it was fine. I enjoyed it, graphics were playable etc... I was really looking forward to the full version of the game. Then a few days before it comes out, my vid card died. I'm on a budget so I ordered a reasonably priced 560GTX. In the interim though, I borrowed the card from my sons computer which is an 8800GT. (Definitely NOT DX11). I reduced my resolution and details but game was still very playable! Very fun... Now I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new 560GTX so I could go back to the 1920/1200 resolution that I play all my other games at. I install it, uninstall the other nvidia drivers, update to the latest drivers for the 560 and jump into the game. I let it auto select the quality settings and fired it up. 5 minutes in, the screen locks, my mouse curser (from windows) is now available and can be moved on top of the game image but the game is locked. I can ctrl/alt/del and close the game with no issues. I tried updating sound card drivers, I deleted punkbuster and resinstalled all with NO LUCK. From what I see, many others are also having this issue. The only new thing in the equation for me is the 500 series DX11 based card. To me, that points to either DX11, or something with the drivers that is still not compatible with games.

i7, 870
4gigs ram
gigabyte 560GTX

No issues wen running the older vid cards.

I still haven't crashed a single time after dropping my overclock.

still get random flashing when indoors though.

If all else fails, try the 280.26 drivers. They're rock solid for me.
