I would narrow it down to either the 400R, Phantom, or K62. I can't stand the look of the HAF series and I think you could do better than a 690 II. The Phantom gets a lot of praise here on OCN, but I personally think it does not look too good, and it is huuuuuge. The 400R is a decent little guy, but could be a bit bulky on the sides. Of course, since I suggested the K62 I would most likely vote for that one since I believe it would suite your needs perfectly. Not to mention it is the cheapest.

I love the looks of the phantom but because of prices it was between the 400r and CM 690 II advanced for me, both are great cases
The same seems to apply to you, the 400r and 690 are pretty cheap compared to the others.

Yeah I think Corsair hates NZ

Okay I'm not too fussed about $50 difference so I guess I'll just have to have a bit of a think about which case I like the looks of the most and decide whether it's worth paying the extra for front panel usb 3.0.

Actually now that I mention it, wouldn't it be very difficult and awkward to plug an external HDD into a rear USB port? The cable on mine isn't particularly long... would have to perch on top of the case, not even sure if it would reach doing that...

Sorry, misread the price of the phantom earlier (read $350 for some reason), I would go for the phantom and just buy a longer cable for your external hard drive

Holy hot damn....

I'd say Phantom for a full-tower or the 690 II Advanced. If you're not completely set on the side-panel window, then I'd also say either the 400R or the 500R. Both have gotten excellent reviews I believe.

400R reviews from Think Computers and Hardware Canucks.

EDIT: Found a 500R review from Guru3D.
Credit goes to FlamingMidget, though.

Yeah Corsair really hates New Zealand lol, closest thing I could find to the 500r was a 500W PSU

So it's pretty unanimous that the Phantom is better than the 932? I guess I'm down to these 4 then:

Phantom $250 (the new one with USB 3.0)
400R $210
690 II Advanced $200
PC-K62 $200

I think I might go with the Phantom though, can't seem to find anything really wrong with it and I have enough space for a full tower. Only slight thing is the intake fans are a bit odd... surely those 120s on the side don't do a whole lot, and the optional 140 for the front looks like it wouldn't allow for much air flow...?

You can fit up to seven fans in there. Even if you have two just for cooling the hard drives, there are FIVE more for everything else in the case. Plenty of good options when you consider which way you want the air to flow, and what fans you want for where. The Phantom seems to be a pretty darn good choice for what you want right now.

Best of luck with your decision!
(I know I always need it... )
