Strange eyefinity setup idea..

Hi
So the plan looks like that.

Currently I have a 25.5" 16:10 monitor. (also a 23 4:3 SRT, but doesnt matter )
I can buy the same one for about 100$.

And then I would buy a good 27" 16:9 to put in the middle.
I know that the resolutions should be the same, but I could scale the outer ones - it should matter that much since they are.. the outer ones And used just for a peeking..
The differance in height would be only 0.29" (75mm) so it should be a problem also..

What do you think? I have never used an eyefinity..
Will it work or will the annoyance foctor be to heavy to bear?

I know that it would be perfecto to use the same monitors, but budget is the key

plan looks like what? did you try and add a pic or so?
not there if you did.

so you own 1 monitor now... why buy 1 same and 1 different? if they are so close in size why not just buy 2 of the same and solve this whole thread?
that would be best.

annoyance factor will be heavy IF it can work...i remember it and it has enough of that with 3 identical monitors...

edit:

apparently it will/could work how you are asking, they will all be scaled to the same resolution. dont take my word, im just googling stuff
eyefinity will also take monitors that have a different max res, but will scale the higher ones down until all are the same

also it would be wise to look up the games supported list for eyefinity...it does NOT include all games...and a number of them are finicky..

Becouse I can buy only the one. And I will not find the same third one, nor any other of 25.5" dimension.. Nor even any other with 16:10 res. at good price

I was thinking about having the outer monitors de-streched (forgot the english word shrinked?) by using 16:10 resolution on them and making them looking "not natural" while having the center monitor at its normal resolution. Which - i think - would be a problem since they are the outer ones, used just for peeking not looking all the time etc..

1st bit... gotchya, wording..

2nd bit... keyword "at good price" but what is the price of the 27" as opposed to normal price of the 25.5" ?

de-stretched = shrunk / shrunken...no worries english is a messed up language

well the whole issue goes to looking unnatural. i will tell you personally, i had 3x 22" monitors all the same, and when playing games in that wide res, the sides get very warped anyways.. regular animation gets stretched out by massive amounts.

budget may be an issue here, but you're thinking eyefinity, you have a 2600k, HD6970... this is all enthusiast build.. for best results, same monitors all around is recommended by a wide margin... even if you have to spend an extra 50 bucks maybe more...

just my 2 cents. eyefinity will work with how you're thinking, but i will look and work better with 3 identical monitors.

25.5" cant be found. This is the one I can buy, for a 100$, plus the one I have.
27" are for like 300$ each..
So I could spend 400$ for what I think or 900$ for three 27" monitors.. Minus maybe 100$ I would get for selling mine..

And this is why I tought it will work - if the saids are warped anyways, the fact that the resolution is shrunked should not matter that much..

Beside - I like the idea of having 16:10 on the sides and 16:9 in the middle..
Just like I love the idea of having one horizontal monitor in the middle and two verticals on the sides with the same hight, which is unfortunatly impossible to do/ will look really bad..
