Maybe i made a mistake ordering 1920x1080 since i have a GTX 460. I might oughta have to suck it up and return it back cuz i'm terrified i won't be able to play BF3 with better framerates compared to my current monitor i'm running and game runs good. Kinda hard to do Ultra and i wish i can.

Errr more screen real estate > playing one game maxed.

Still my new rig looks set to max this!
Generally speaking 1080 only takes ever so slightly less power than 1200.
Vram on the other hand, I've seen vary by as much as 200MB! =P

We are playing on a GeForce GTX 570 at 1920x1200 with highest in-game settings for our multiplayer gaming.
Like this part very much!!

I'm surprised you guys expected it to look exactly like it did in the promo videos 100% of the time. I find it a mixed bag. The character models, animations, and textures are absolutely top-notch. Some of the very best scenes graphically involved watching your team parkour across the level. Some texture work throughout the environments also work really well, but overall a lot of the game looks worse in contrast to the excellent character detail.
The art direction was also spectacular in a few places. The red clay cliffs on the beaches and the woodland scenery before the Caspian Border level comes to mind; those were actual moments where I stopped just to take everything in, which I haven't done since the first Crysis.
All that said, I found lighting to be underwhelming.

I don't feel it is as huge of a leap graphically as everyone is making it out to be.
I agree. It's a slight step above BC2 while taxing my CPU and RAM usage to 96%.

They also never put the APC back into Operation Metro and on the Rush mode version I find myself falling through the floor around the 2nd M-Com station. The Conquest mode one is nothing more than a CoD map.

The Alpha version was more stable than this too...

This. I want to know how it runs on my amd quad core with 5850s in cross fire. I know it should perform really well, but I would like to know how well. I also want to know if a thrid 5850 would add to performace. It's not I could add a thrid, but this is overclock.net

Been answered but yeah, Frost Bite 2 seems to be putting the load right where it needs to be--on the graphics card. Was really impressed by this post: A Q6600 @ 3.4 GHz and an ASUS DCII GTX 580 running BF3 and the gpu was at 99% usage most of the time = no bottleneck.

I kinda agree with corky dorkelson: the graphics aren't as BA as I thought they'd be but, I see (more) patches coming in the future that could push them over the top. And from the looks if, even us folks that stay on the shallow end of the pool, hardware-wise are going to benefit greatly from this new engine. The new Mirror's Edge is gonna use FB2 also and hopefully other game developers will see how good FB2 is and use it also.

All-in-all, I think BF3 is definitely a step in the right direction.
