I like how they only tested the high end cards. my oc'd gtx 560 ti is running 30-40 frames and max settings, and I am completely content with it.

And on the same page he says it was a driver issue and it is no longer jerky with 11.10 preview 3's

Ultra and no AA runs about 25-30 FPS on 1440x900 on a 6770m (desktop 6670)

Not bad, definitely could not run Crysis 1 max, while BF3 can do so with less.

We did turn off Motion Blur because it was conflicting with our ability to spot enemies using our peripherals; we will look more into the motion blur performance impact in our following article. Our test system consists of an Intel Core i7 920 at 3.6GHz on an MSI Eclipse X58 motherboard.



With these settings our framerates were fairly stable around 60 average FPS. The framerates varied from 57 FPS to 63 FPS. There were a few instances where frame rates would drop significantly but this usually only happened near fires. Framerates in vehicles were normally 10-15 average FPS higher than on foot. Even on the extra large maps with 64 players and 20 players shooting at each other in a small area with lots of explosions and crumbling surroundings the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 provided very playable framerates at 1920x1200. This seemed to be the sweet spot for competitive framerates as well an immersive experience.

That is my experience too using a i7 920 @ 4.2Ghz, Asus Rapage II Gene X58, and a EVGA GTX 570 Classified.

I am kinda bummed that I dont have to buy another one and run SLI.

I don't feel it is as huge of a leap graphically as everyone is making it out to be.
Crysis 1 and 2 still look better by quite a bit IMO, but I really don't care the game looks great anyway and is WAY more fun then any shooter I have played and will be playing this for years.

Game looks awesome on my screen. You can't compare crisis or metro to this. The scale of the fights in Bf3 are insane.

Main problem if you ask me, are the washed out colors (green-grey-yellowish) in some segments of the maps, especially during day, i mean come on look at this



make it shine like a real metal, not like im holding an tree ffs....
