Help with Battlefield 3 Install Issues

This is pathetic. I thought that when I pay for a product it should work correctly, but apparently not.
I preordered Battlefield 3. I downloaded and installed it correctly. When release date came, I found I couldn't join any multiplayer servers. I fixed this problem by simply repairing my saves.
This is when the real problems began.
Upon trying to reinstall the game, I found that I would click the install button, it would say installing for a minute or two, then go back to "Ready to Install". I found a solution on tehse forums, and tried it. It involved renaming a file. I highlighted the file and tried to rename it, and I got a message saying something along the lines of:
"Deleting a File extension may make a file unusable, Do you want to continue?"
I clicked yes, because I hadn't deleted the extension. However, upon clicking yes, the .exe extension is gone. I added it back (Don't know if thats even possible, but still), and tried to reinstall (After clicking "Refresh my Games"). The same problem.
I redownloaded the whole game, thinking that I had done something by deleting the .exe (Which I had never highlighted in the first place), and the same problem occured after I repaired my save.
Long story short, I tried the fix again, and the exact same thing happened.

Can anyone help me? I've been waiting for this game for a long time, and I work a lot so I don't have enough time to fix EA's file's for them.

i have this same problem. click "ready to install" and it says "installing" for a minute. then a window flashes, and the button turns back into "ready to install." This happened after "repairing."
