As I've said before, "Core Temp" is accurate for what it was designed for - which is peak temps (45C+) and load temps to keep you under the spec limit which is 62C "Core Temp". As long as the CPU is under load it will be within 5C of actual temp, approaching 45C it will be within 1-2C. It is NOT designed for idle temps, which is what all those threads are referring to. Socket temps are the one that will be 7-10C off (higher) under load and could be as high as 20C off depending on motherboard, so again: forget idle temps and watch "Core Temp" under load.

That is nice to know. I decided to stay at 3800/2800 with 1.42V/1.2V+LLC for now.
