Anyone own the Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC? - Page 2

"triple voltage control" is a gimmick... there is little if anything to be gained from being able to adjust PLLv... if you had a good card, PLLv would be useless until you start trying to push vMEM or shader speeds.

Im running my 6950 TFIII PE/OC on water, 300mhz over stock clocks.. it does not need any PLL/AUXv adjustments to run stable at 1ghz core.. for air/water clocking Aux/PLLv adjustments arent very beneficial... it helps more once frozen; Same can be said for the nvidia flavors.

I actually do have one more question about it. Since it's like a Special Edition 570 GTX.....should I use the MSI driver, or just Nvidias normal driver?
I never know what to do with these special cards.

*drivers never matter... use the ones that work best.

I would stick with newest released Nvidia driver unless you have performance or graphical issues. There is no difference in the supplied drivers though other than maybe the version and/or whatever crap bloatware is being packaged with it.

I had this card. It wasn't the best overclocker, but I could lock it to 40% fan in afterburner with a 900mhz overclock and it would never go over 68C. If your going to do that, I switched to a 6970 because the 570 just didn't have enough VRAM, I frequently use 1400mb for Fallout New Vegas with a texture pack.
That being said, even though I got pretty bad overclocks out of it, compared to reference cards, the cooler was dead quiet, and everything about it felt high end. The best of the 1.3GB 570s IMO. Its worth that extra $20 for the cooler alone.

Have in SLI these beasts. Got very nice cards, as they overclock like hell. Have even got over 12K in 3Dmark11 on my setup Cards were 950/2200 and i5 @ 5Ghz tho. BF3 runs smooth as butter on the maximum available settings, pretty much never goes above 60fps, average of 80-100 fps.
