Special Monitor Mounts?

Thread Starter
I have an unfortunate and sticky situation.

I originally wanted a triple monitor stand. I scrapped that idea for something more ergonomic.

I saw individual monitor mounts that saved even more space so I was looking heavily into them.

Unfortunately, I realized this morning that my desk would not allow for a clamp style mount - I don't think.

Here's my issues:

1) My desk has a back to it, about an inch deep, so nothing can slide underneath the backside unless it can utilize the inch that's available.

Q) Are there any monitors that utilize a different type of desk clamp? Something that might work in this situation?

Something like this looks like it has a narrow clamp, but I can't tell for sure and usually pictures make it look like less than it is:

2) I have three monitors. That equals three mounts. I have a wall on the left side, a window in the middle, and a wall on the right side. Basically, I could mount them to the wall on the left and the right, but the middle mount would have nowhere to go. The bottom of the window ends JUST at the top of my desk, so theoretically a wall mount could go UNDER the window sill.

Q) Is there a mount that would fit on the wall that wouldn't hit the window sill OR the desk on the way up? I've seen a few Ergotron mounts with a long pole coming up that might do the job, but it doesn't look like it mounts to the wall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! When my setup is complete, I'll make sure to include you in my sig!

You could always cut a slot or notch in the back of the desk to allow the bottom of the clamp through.

Ahh sorry I forgot to mention I do not want to do any cutting or drilling on the desk itself. I would only do that to the wall (the desk is brand new).

Ok no problem.

Would something like this work? You'd have to measure your space and compare the dimensions of the stand for sure.

Ive not long bought 3 of these...

the clamp would quite easily fit over a 1" lip on the back of a desk and there is about 20mm between the inside of the clamp and the "foot" thing on the end of the screw part of the clamp. I dont know if you can get these state side but probably worth a look as it seems they would be just what your looking for.

@sevinn: Unfortunately no. That would need to be centered (mounted under my window sill) to fit all three monitors on it. That's one of the main reasons why I'm seeking three individual mounts.

@ra1nman: That would be absolutely perfect! I can't find any here, though.
