I thought you could only buy these sensors in units of 1,000. Or do you plan to rip one from an existing mouse?

I'm only making a prototype or two to begin with so buying units of 1,000+ is useless.

I don't know how much knowledge you have but is it possible to default the microsoft intellimouse 1.1/WMO/3.0 to 500hz from the hardware-side?

Also, you can buy sensors in development kits for under $100. You don't need to buy thousands. : p
