Hi all. My PC has 2 PSUs. First is powering up motherboard, processor and graphics card (5770) and Second is powering up 2 HDDs and 1 DVD Writer. CAN I USE THE 6 PIN MOLEX OF SECOND PSU TO CONNECT TO GRAPHICS CARD WHILE IT DRAWING POWER FROM FIRST PSU THROUGH MOTHERBOARD PCI-E SLOT ?

As long as both psus are always on at the same time this should not be a problem provided the psu you want to connect to the gpu is able to supply sufficient watts to the video card.

It should be fine, Make sure they're both on at the same time, or it will cause issues, also please dont write in full caps lock, makes it sound like your shouting

Why are you doing this? your 550 watt corsair should be more than enough for your sig rig. Why have 2 PSU's?

That's really a waste of time to be using multiple PSUs on a system of that caliber.

Your CPU and GPU probably only use up 150-250W during load (not full load like Furmark + Prime95). You don't need a 2nd PSU. It's just asking for trouble.

Where exactly is the second PSU sitting? :\\ Anyways, You are basically just using maybe not even 25% of each PSU for no reason. Might as well just use the 500 or 550W to power every. You are not really gaining anything from doing this for a system not that powerful that require 2 PSUs.

even the 430 watt corsair can easily handle that load.
a 5770, 2 sticks of ram, 2 hdd and an optical drive will have no problems on 400 watt psu
