Alternatives to Seasonic X-850.

Tough decision to make. I have had my order put on hold as my beloved Seasonic X-850 is out of stock (and I believe for some time still).

Looking for an alternative, the obvious choice would be to get a Corsair AX-850, but looking for other high quality alternatives (Enermax, Antec High Current Pro, XFX Black?).

Note that I am considering taking the PSU out of the order, and using a Antec HCG-620 in the meanwhile (which I have already available for backup), with only one GPU. Then order the Seasonic later on and go crossfire. That will leave me with a 6950 gathering dust for a while, and a more expensive X-850 purchase later on (I got a good deal originally at £165, probably bumped up to £185 by the time it gets back in stock).

Grrr... Really frustrating. I WANT THAT PSU!

f*** it. I'm getting the AX-850, it's £150, too good to pass.

Practically the same unit, 7 years warranty, and Corsair easier to deal with with returns.

Still, ... I lost some e-peen :'(

... Okee dokey.

Those who really know PSUs will know that they are the same, and that you went with a longer warranty. If you lost e-peen, it is because you asked a question and then immediately figured out your answer.

This thread reminds me of this: http://www.overclock.net/intel-gener...k-price-2.html

Soooooooo funny. I think it should be a sticky.

Anyway don't skip on PSU quality, even if EVERYONE has the same PSU .
