Make it Black and Red

Hey guys,
OK so i'm getting me a Corsair Obsidian 800D.
I want to go with a Black and Red theme.
This build will be 100% watercooled.

i have a few questions:
1. I used to use premixed liquids but i want to switch to water. I know i need a kill coil and a biocide. Which biocide should i use?

2. What good RED UV dyes are out there (most look a bit orange)...or should i just go with UV tubing? If tubing, which tubing?

3. I want some fans with SOLID (not clear) red fan blades and the rest black. What are some good fans that have this AND very good static pressure? (do GTs have color options? if so, where can i find them?)

4. What is a good fan controller to use? I'd like one that fits in the front bay and that i could wire to control all fans on each rad...
example: if i want better temps coming from one radiator, i would like one knob to control all the fans on that rad. What do i need to do for this?

5. What are some good non-restrictive elbow, 45-degree, and floating-elbow barbs? I'm trying to use as little tubing as possible for a more clean look.

6. Lastly, i want to get my hands on sleeving my wires. i have never done this so does anyone have any recommendations for brands and maybe a guide or two?

I will be doing a build log on this very soon

You shouldn't need biocide if you use a Killcoil with Distilled water.

The kill coil IS your biocide. ;-)

For the fans, I am in love with the enermax magmas. I have a bunch of them in my build.

Avoid using dyes if possible. If you really feel you must, check out the Mayhems dyes. They are some of the most reliable.

I think this thread is better suited in the water cooling forum.....unless you're talking about making the case black / red.

Go with UV tubing.

4: For this the best thing to do would be to wire all of the fans to a single connector and sleeve it. Depending on the controller you get, dont overload it by putting alot of fans on one channel.

Cable sleeving,

I wouldn't recommend RideZLightning for sleeving anymore. He has disappeared since around March - April and we have picked up some of the work he hasn't finished for clients. He has stopped answering PMs and hasn't even been online since July 12. If you want paracord or any other kind of sleeving, we can make that happen for you.

Petras PT nuke works wonders also. I have used this stuff and it also works great,

http://wcdyes.com/shop2/biocide/25-m...cide-10ml.html

It kept that gunky, slimey, film-like stuff off of my tubes even while the loop has been just sitting here for about two months. It might be hard to find in the US tho.

If you use kill coil no need for anything else, some use pt nuke as a substitue, other's use both together.

2. What good RED UV dyes are out there (most look a bit orange)...or should i just go with UV tubing? If tubing, which tubing?

Dye usually clogs up over time, best thing to get is UV tubing, I've been using Primochill and it's pretty good

I do believe the CM sickleflow comes in RED, maybe thought could be an option, however I think most people use as case fans rather than on their rad.

I just ordered the Akasa 6 Fan controller, it's pretty similar to the Lamptron FC2 and looks and sounds pretty good, it doesn't boast a 45w per channel but a 30w per channel is still pretty good.

5. What are some good non-restrictive elbow, 45-degree, and floating-elbow barbs? I'm trying to use as little tubing as possible for a more clean look.

Not sure lol

Not sure again, I myself am looking for the same lol, a few sleeved extension's seems like a good option, ceratinly helps when you change PSU's etc in the future.
Answer's in red

Hope that helps.
