Win 7 64 Bit Task Scheduler causing Kernel Power Error and random restarts.

Okay, I narrowed down my random restarts issue this morning. It's not a hardware issue like I thought (Thank god), but I don't know how to fix this error found.

A little background on the problem: Every day for the last month or so I have been randomly restarting 4-10 times a day. No BSOD, no error messages, nothing. Tried to turn off auto restart, still nothing.

Found the following in event viewer (same for every restart):
<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">

<Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power" Guid="{331C3B3A-2005-44C2-AC5E-77220C37D6B4}" />

</Event>

So I looked around, and someone on another site suggested looking at scheduled tasks to see if anything is causing a major problem causing the reboot.

As soon as I open task scheduler I get this error message:

Catastrophic failure (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED))

So I figured there was a task giving me problems. I then looked at C:Windows/Tasks/SCHEDLGU and found the following entry at a matching time with every single random reboot I've been having:

6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255)
"Task Scheduler Service"
Started at 10/26/2011 10:53:55 AM

This doesn't always cause a restart, as there are some log points where it runs fine and no reboots occur, but every time there is a reboot, there is a matching entry in the file.
How can I fix this/what is causing the error?

I have this problem to. Did you ever get it solved? I'm running the sfc /scannow command now and will post the results.
