Is your Folding PC your daily-use PC? - Page 2

My answer is NO.....
My daily use = c2d t7300 laptop ..... lolz
post #12 of 53
Mine is my sig rig. I use it for folding -hugeadv 24/7, then when working I run Solidworks constantly along with outlook, illustrator, photoshop, spotify and google chrome without a hiccup. Granted I pretty much max out my usage of the 8gigs of ram and my PPD goes down during the work day but I still fold 24/7.

Yeah! I have a 140mm blowing on them and if I'm playing cod or something that only needs one I just leave sli turned off and the game just uses the main card. Since these games don't take much it's usually like 60-64c with the bottom card folding, usually like 60c.

My sig rig is my folding rig, is my only rig

I can't really do anything else with my sigrig when I am folding hugeadv. It's too laggy. :/

I use my laptop which is nice (i5), but I cannot really game. I'm rebuilding my old 1156 ITX rig as my daily and letting the sig rig fold.

Fold 24/7 with an i7-950, and a GTX 275 whenever I'm not gaming. CPU remains folding while I game, never really makes a noticeable difference to me.
