Battlefield 3 has been out for a full day now and is being enjoyed by millions. However, it’s launch was not a smooth experience for all. Xbox 360 servers were up and down like a roller coaster, and Russian gamers had a hard time just connecting to the MP portion of the game.

As i understand they launch it on tuesday, so they have time before weekend to fix launch bugs. Most people will play on weekend.

at first, i was having the worst time just connecting to a server and staying in it. i tried multiple things, but what i found to work best was disabling avast before i started up bf3. since i started doing that, i have been able to get into every server i try. plus, i don't disconnect once i get in.

on a side note: the ump (and all pdw's for that matter) is definately not the gun it used to be. but the good news is, the m416 is as good, if not better, than it was from the beta.

I remember how easy it was to get knife kills in Metro, I could normally get behind the enemy when underground and knife 2-3 people before getting noticed. Of course there was a weird bug that caused you to die if you knifed wrong (Trying to knife a guy laying down while firing caused you to jump in front of them or something and take all the bullets.)
Luckily for me I won't be able to play muliplayer rounds until the end of this week, so I'm hoping for a stable experience.

Create a rule in your firewall for Origin and BF3, and forward your ports.

Worked for me, hope it works for you.
