[MP1st] BF3 – Launch Issues Resolved and DICE Dev Dog Tags - Page 2

I don't know if this is normal or not, but after putting the BF3 CD in my computer and downloading Origin, it says under the "Battlefield 3: Limited Edition" Icon that the game is "preparing".

It looked normal at first, but it's been at "preparing" for the past 20 minutes. My hdd activity light isn't flashing and my taskmgr says that my CPU is hardly being used... Is this normal?

EDIT: Nvm Fixed

Still not consistently able to play online because of punkbuster. Only played 3-4 full rounds on punkbuster servers because I usually just get kicked after 30 seconds.

Yes, I've tried every trick in the book.

I'm experiencing crashes everytime I play. Not only that, but I'm crashing in a variety of ways. Sometimes it's because of directx, other times it's because of being disconnected, freezing, program is no longer responsive, or just a straight up crash to desktop.

I'm not going to nerd rage, but it is annoying that DICE/EA hasn't even spoken a word on these issues.

Its an issue that PB and Dice have to work on. Its got to do with the Server's not having the same version as you which PB kicks you for it.

I've got it set to a side button on my G9x along with Grenades.

I just hope that they fix using "quick match" with a premade group. Almost every time I've tried it so far my party gets split between the teams, etc... It should put you on a server, with your party all in the same squad, automatically.

I couldn't even get into a game last night....would kick me after 10 seconds. Also tried every trick in the book.

I can't believe that they had an Alpha AND a Beta, and still have this many connection issues. Once again, I was better off waiting instead of preordering. Some day I will learn my lesson.

It was a PunkBuster issue. You can download the update here.
