New CPU - System doesn't Post

Thread Starter
I just recieved my FX-8120, installed it, and my system doesn't post.

I removed the mobo battery to clear cmos, but that doesn't do anything.

My fans rev up and down meaning the system is trying boot but it seems t just be looping.

Without seeming like a (lets just say not so nice person) you did install it right?

I mean you didn't bend any pins or anything?

it dropped right into the slot, no hassle.

I'm running f4 bios. this is really wierd. my ram is 1333mhz ddr3, and apparently bulldozer natively supports 1866mhz ram.. could that be a problem?

Also my dimms are in slots 2 & 4. I'll try 1 and 3.

EDIT: Still not posting. Sometimes the fan revs for one second, then other times it revs higher and higher.

From what I've seen most shop's say you Have to have 1866mhz but thats just stupid.

Have you got the money to buy some new ram?

I assume the board worked with your 1055t fine?

ALAS!!!! I guess I didn't leave the battery out long enough. I used my knife on the two jumper pins for clr CMOS and it did the trick.

Sorry!
