BF3 requires a dual core processor minimum.

not exactly, most games say they do, but they really dont, i can "run" most games, although not very well but for games like CoD, Deus Ex, Dead Island, and a few more on this system at decent fps, all those require core 2 duos, but with my P4 i can run them fine

My sig only run bf3 at 40-50 fps as best.....your rig will run it at like 4-5 fps...rolleyes.gif Trust me....you rig will in no way run bf3 at playable fps.

I used to have a P4 system working until very recently; it was a Pentium 4 Northwood 3.4 Ghz, 2 GB DDR 400 and a Radeon X1950 Pro and then a Radeon HD4650 AGP, and I tried a few games, two of them being Crysis and Crysis Warhead - they were bottlenecked by the CPU. If you want I can give you links to the Pentium 4 owners club here on OCN where I posted a few benchmarks.

I also ran Left 4 Dead 2, and with a few adjustments, one of them being setting the paged pool memory to "Low", I managed to get it to play smoothly with decent quality settings.

Having said all this, I don't think you will get anywhere near playable framerates with that system on BF3, that game will take advantage of a quad core and even a six core CPU.
