lol ditto. back lighting is sick

Throw me some suggestion and recommendations people. But nice to know how people feel about different kinds of switches and it is completely to my understanding that it is 100 % personel preference. Thanks

do you want backlit? 10keyless? what do you want in the keyboard? colors?

MEKA G1's alright, temporarily "tested" the keyboard from one of the CEOs... I don't really feel the fatigue from the Blacks because of personal finger strength, but I do love the blues from my PLU M87. However I'm pretty sure there's better keyboards out there.

DAS keyboards are pretty highly regarded, and if you're a student it's a plus - email them and they'll give you a discount.

WASDkeyboard.com is a relatively new site that allows you to customize your keyboards to the way you want it down to switch, keycap color and even lettering. It's downright sexy even though you probably won't be looking at your board that often. They offer Brown/Blue/Black and I hear they're adding more switches in the future.

Rosewill(from Newegg) and OCN('DuckyChannel's from the TankGuys store) have some decent keyboards.

If you ask me, I think I would go for a WASD keyboard due to the customization and coolness factor for my first mech. Kinda wish they came out before I got my PLU haha, though I AM planning on saving and getting a WASD in the near future.

Backlight does not matter to me, and as far as for colors go i just don't won't a rainbow colored keyboard, black is fine for me ... Think i would take brown in the end. (thinking about blues to)
WASDkeyboard is only i America if I am right, but do DAS keyboard make brown switches to and which other boards are with brown or blues key switches. Really can't find so much just from research, somebody should make a database, would be nice.

Again thanks for the replies

I say go with the RK-9000 has gotten numerous mentions in PC magazines, has mX Blues (in my opinion are the best for that real mechanical feel, they are somewhat loud, let you know that you truly engaged the switch, and just feel amazing when typing, its all personal preference. I have used numerous different types of switches, and so far I always go back to blues, especially for my school work/gaming ). Back to the Rosewill RK-9000... SOLID board, I got mine at a great price, I was lucky. Just look around, a used board from a reliable seller is just as good as a brand new board, actually sometimes better because they have probably been at least slightly worn in

Doesnt have backlighting.... but there are very few boards that have them that are mech... All of the true, mech keyboard mfr's, not razer, or steelseries (or any of that other gaming "peripheral" crap, though I do love my deathadder... different story...) tend to stay away from it. As you start to get a feel for your board (like I did, coming from a Razer Lycosa, rubber dome crap, and seeing the light at the end of the very very dark tunnel at last) you dont need the backlighting. It seriously just becomes an extension of your hand if you type enough like me, and I dont miss my lycosas LEDs one bit to be honest... moving to mech was the greatest decision of any component of my PC to date, no joke... Or until i finally get a new GPU
