Battlefield 3 HD 6970 vs GTX 570 - Page 5

They are VERY comparable, and it really won't matter which one you get.

For BF3 only, get the 6970.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102918

$320 After rebate.

For all games and potentially other games you may play in the future, the 570 will be better as nvidia generally has better driver support = less hassle and better frames until AMD catches up. However, for huge titles, there generally will be good driver support right away for either card.

Lets also not forget that AMD could probably use the buisness! I will mention though that i have found a solution for the small frame difference I see between my card and the 580....... I turn off fraps and log into my bank account !!!!! Hope to see you on the battlefield. Enjoy the game.

Nope the 580 still pulls ahead, I am getting 55-73FPS @ Ultra with 2XMSAA.

But for 570 vs 6970. Go for the 6970, unless you want to pay a premium for the 580.

I thought this was a comparison test confused.gif

I'm partially biased to nvidia since their drivers, in my personal experience, have been rock solid.

is the OP asking what would happen if three 6970s fought a 570 on a battlefield?

I don't understood.

Updated with FINAL RELEASE benchmarks.

ALL settings actually maxed out in ULTRA setting rather than on HIGH. 4xMSSA turned "on" instead of "off" to scew real results.

Not sure about some people but I like it fully maxed out for gaming goodness. thumb.gif

OCT 28th Benches Final Release BF3 .

Benching done by OCN members carry more wieght in my book.

... and this is from the final, as beta benchmarks should not be compared to the final.
