The Official Ultimate Android App List [Constantly Updated]

Thread Starter
So, we've had a few app lists here and there of people sharing apps and that was nice, but none of them ever really stuck around. Also, people are constantly asking for "Which Apps should I get for Android? I just rooted my phone, man!

I've helped many people get some of the best apps on Android and since I cherish my phone and search almost every night for new apps and games, I decided to compile a list of the best Android Apps on the market to help you all. I am proud to say it is the best Ultimate list on Google Search and is significantly more ordered, prepared and has had more time put into it than any other list I've yet to see. There are sites that review apps and go into much more detail, but I wouldn't say those sites are lists. In this thread, I will not only post pictures of the Apps, but will also include Android Market links as well as a brief description of the game or app and why I feel you should download it. I will also do my best to update this thread as often as I download new apps, have tried them out and decided to keep them. If you STROOOONGLY believe an app or game is worth mentioning that I do not have on my list, I will download it, try it out and decide whether it's worth mentioning. If I decide it's not worth adding, I'll let you know why. Otherwise, I'll add it to the list. There's no reason you should have an Android phone and stay on stock ROM without having tried whats out there! I strongly suggest you root your phone if you haven't already. You need to root your phone before you can ROM it anyway. You have a smartphone, use it to it's fullest capability. You won't break it. It's really simple. Check out XDA-Developers for more information on how to root and ROM your phone. Remember, just because the link to the Android Market may be the paid version, that doesn't mean there isn't a free version available as well. Just search for the application or game and see if a free version is available. Likewise, just because a free version was linked rather than the pay version doesn't mean that a paid version isn't available and with more features. This article has now been added to the official OCN Articles Section found here. A few Apps that I think will strongly benefit you all in acquiring paid apps FREE and LEGIT are Amazon App Store and GetJar. These 2 apps allow you to install full paid apps for free, no strings attached.
Applications

AdAway
AdAway is imo the best ad removal app on the market. I've tried AdBlock Plus and it simply blocked EVERYTHING and that wasn't good. I couldn't even get to some sites. It was also the heaviest ad block app I installed. I tried one that was much lighter, but felt it didn't do a great job for apps, just the internet, which is OK, but I don't like to see any ads if possible AdAway does that for me. That's why it's replaced other ad block apps on my list.

AdFree Android
AdFree Android is another excellent ad removal program for Android. Make sure to download the most up to date version as the old version has some problems removing apps on certain devices. Some say this is the best ad removal app on the market. Try between this and AdAway and you'll be set.

Amazon App Store This app cannot be downloaded on the Android Market. Instead you have to google "Amazon App Store," go to their website, put in your email address and they'll send you a link to download their app. This is a MUST HAVE application because they offer a PAID APP for FREE with lifetime updates EVERY DAY. You can't beat that.
Amazon App Store (Click to show)

Amazon Kindle
Amazon Kindle is an app for reading books, just like the Amazon Kindle tablet thing Amazon sells, only you don't need the tablet and can download the books on your phone. There are lots of free books available too.

Astro File Manager Astro File Manager replaces ES File Manager on the list simply because it runs with less issues than ES File Manager, but if you prefer ES file Manager's UI to this one, feel free to use the other. There's no real difference, just preference, but due to this one working better on more devices without issue, this is the new go to file manager.

Beautiful Widgets Very nice looking clock widget that also shows you the weather with a nice little picture similar to HTC's clock, in case you are ROMing your phone and no longer have access to HTC Sense. Lots of skins to download for not only the clock, but the weather skin as well and battery skin.
Beautiful Widgets (Click to show)

Better Keyboard Pro/Smart Keyboard Pro These are 2 very good keyboards on the market. Many different styles and themes/colors of keyboards to download. The keyboards are very responsive, have a nice layout and best of all look amazing. They lack swype, but are good for everything else. Very convenient key placements as well with long touch numbers and symbols. Better Keyboard Pro is targeted at those that want complete skinning customization. Smart Keyboard Pro is targeted at those who want multiple languages and keyboard customization. SKP is also free on trial while BKP is paid only.

Camera Zoom FX Camera FX Zoom replaced the stock android camera and MIUI Camera for me. It has lots of options and is very nicely designed.

Dictionary.com IMO, the best Dictionary app on the internet and Android Market. Can even use the thesaurus I believe. I like being able to look up words while I'm reading Google Books or Kindle and expand my vocabulary.

Documents To Go Probably the best office app available on the market. Allows you to view and edit Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and other office files on your phone.

Dolphin Browser HD A nice browser that is worth noting. Loads up very fast. I prefer to use Opera; however. I still keep Dolphin HD on my phone in case Opera doesn't load a page correctly.

Doubletwist Player w/ Air Sync Doubletwist w/ Air Sync are 2 apps, 1 is a media player that works well enough and the other is a syncing program much like itunes except for Android. It syncs your music on your computer to your phone. I can't use it personally because have have nearly 300GB of music and there is no SD card out there that will fit all my music, but I'm sure someone with less music out there than I will find great use for it.

Easy Uninstaller Easy Uninstaller does as suggested. It uninstalls apps on your phone with ease. I have less of a use for it since I have MIUI now but still keep it in case I can't find an app. It lists all my apps neatly and allows me to mass uninstall as well rather than drag the app to the top of my screen one at a time in MIUI to uninstall it.

Evernote Evernote is an exceptional note taking application. I prefer it to every other note taking application. It's a very nice looking app that also saves notes on a cloud in case your phone gets wiped and you needed the information. You create an account and your files are saved to that cloud. Very fast access to files and includes phone data storage in case you don't have access to the internet to access those files on the internet.

Google Books IMO, the better application between Amazon Kindle and Google Books. Allows you to read books and has a ton of free books available for download. Many classics and also has books searchable in the Android Market.

Lookout Lookout is a spyware scanner of sorts that is absolutely free. I haven't tried the AVG ones, but honestly, I haven't had a need to use anything else. I have no viruses, am not stupid enough to install a virus and if there are would be a time when a virus would somehow get on my phone, I'm pretty sure Lookout would do it's job. It's also very pretty.

Google Music Google Music Beta is an alternative player to PlayerPro and PowerAmp Pro. This is actually free though compared to the other 2 and worth mentioning, especially since it's a google certified app. Those are usually quality apps. IMO, it's better on tablets than it is on phones, but to each their own. I'm personally sticking with PlayerPro.

MSN: Mercury Best MSN program out there. I've tried MSN Talk and others, but this one has the most customization which if you have MSN, that's the reason we all use it. It's great customization. I can use icons/avatars of my choosing with MSN Mercury, I can choose the background of the application in the message for vertical and landscape (2 different backgrounds if I want), can choose custom colors and whatnot, very nice and free. Also has a paid edition which I recently upgraded to.

Nova Launcher

Nova Launcher is the best launcher out right now for straight forward launcher goodness. If you're looking for the ability to place items exactly where you want it, rotate them, mass drag and drop..you're looking at the wrong launcher. You're looking for Next Launcher. If you're looking for the ability to customize icons, control the number of home screens, animations for swiping screens etc..(basically what we currently think of a launcher as doing) then Nova Launcher stands at the top. Better than ADW, Launcher Pro, Go Launcher you name it. It's better. I'm no longer putting "top 3" and just going with the best.

Pandora Pandora Online Radio. You can choose what genre or similar artists you want to listen to and it'll do it's best to match up your music so you can hear music you like.

Photobucket Mobile Photobucket Mobile allows you to upload pictures taken on your phone directly to your Photobucket account. Very useful tool if you life to save images on your photobucket like I do. Saves you the hassle of uploading to your computer then taking them from your computer and uploading to photobucket from there.

PicShop PicShop is one of the best that I've run across. It can add borders to pics. Crop them. Add effects to them. Add filters to them. You can add lots of silly things to them like hats and mustaches. You can mirror it and basically completely customize the pic with ease. It's an excellent application for modifying pictures.
PicShop (Click to show)

PlayerPro IMO, the best music player on the market. I prefer it to PowerAmp Pro. It has awesome skin customization as well where you can choose the color/theme of the player. Has lots of EQ and bass knobs and such just like Power Amp Pro.
PlayerPro (Click to show)

Pocket Informant This App has replaced Business Calendar for me. I managed to snag this app on Amazon App Store for free while it was free a couple days ago. Very nice looking calendar app that does everything you'd hope a calendar would do. Even integrates with Google Calendar if you have any saved dates on your google calendar already.
Pocket Informant (Click to show)

Pulse News Pulse News is an app that showcases (and very nicely I might add) a bunch of the most famous news website topics all in the convenience of a screen (or multiple screens if you prefer). The design is very sleek, very easy to modify and change. You can set up your favorites at the top if you like. You can connect with facebook or add reddit. There's news for all sorts of topics ranging from Political News, PC News, Android News, and Worldly News to Entertainment. Best of all? It's free. I definitely recommend this app for those that like to stay current with news.

Applications Continued

QuickPic
Mostly use it because MIUI sometimes gives me problems when needing to go into the Gallery. It crashes and won't let me select pictures from it. I found this App is it's since replaced my gallery needs and looks better and reacts faster in the process.

Shazam. Play a song, don't know what it is? Use Shazam to help you figure out the artist and title of the song. It's accurate most of the time, just don't have a lot of background noise or people speaking while it's working it's magic.

All of the screenshots I took in this thread were done by ShootMe. All screenshot programs, all do the same thing. I use ShootMe, but it's no longer on the market, so you'd have to find it online now.

Slacker Radio
Just like Pandora Radio. I like having both. Pandora seems to work better most of the time, but Slacker will often give me a different style sometimes when I want something new and unheard of.

SlideIt Keyboard/Swype Keyboard Beta
SlideIt Keyboard is exactly like Swype Keyboard, but for other Android phones that don't have swype stock. Instead of typing words the usual way, you can slide your fingers across the keyboard from one letter to another and it'll type the word out. I personally find it faster to type, but the world's fastest touch screen typer did so on a Swype Keyboard, so that tells you something!

Awesome awesome program that lets you CONTROL your desktop via your phone. It's usually 10 dollars but 90% off for 99c right now. If you've got a dollar to spend, spend it on this app, it's amazingly fun and awesome. You can even listen to your music that is located on your PC via the phone as a sort of stream. Grab files from home when you're at work and email it to yourself. Trouble shoot your PC away from the computer. It does it all and does not suffer from "basic mode" like other applications do. The speed is also excellent. Can use it in landscape mode or portrait mode.

SwiftKey 3 is good keyboard that is very friendly for those that spam keys and can't type for crap because it'll correct your typing...supposedly. I'm a precise typer, so it's not that great for me. I strongly prefer Swype, but many many people love SwiftKey 3.

Games

Age of Zombies
Age of Zombies is a really cool game with a badass character. He's your typical ultra manly man, like beer, broads and shooting zombies kinda guy. HAHA, I'm an evil villain, let me display my evil monologue of how I plan to take over the wor-headshot with a shotgun!

And there's Zombie T-Rex's. 'Nuff Said.

Aliens Invasion
This is a Cowboy Shooting Aliens side scroller similar to Zombieville USA. Very fun, nice graphics. Simple game that isn't demanding on older smartphones.

Angry Birds
Angry Birds. Everyone knows what this game is. Super fun. Enormously popular. It's a physics slingshot game where you shoot birds from a slingshot to knock down buildings and kill evil green pigs. Download it. Every smartphone should have this game on it.

Angry Birds Rio
Angry Birds Rio is a continuation of the Angry Birds franchise that uses new birds and is inspired by the movie Rio. Lots of fun, same slingshot physics principle.

Angry Birds Seasons
Angry Birds Seasons is a continuation of the Angry Birds Franchise, but with a seasonal theme to it. Christmas, Easter, Saint Patricks you name it, they've got a theme for it.

Angry Birds Space
Angry Birds Space takes Angry Birds to a whole new level. You shoot these angry birds through space and unlike previous versions, you play with new graphics that have to do with gravity of planets and multiple atmospheres. To aid you, there's a dotted line this time through. I think Angry Birds Space is ingenious.
Angry Birds Space (Click to show)

Angry Piggy
Angry Piggy is not an Angry Birds rip off, but instead a mini platforming type game with 3 farm animals. These animals consist of a cow, a chicken and a pig. The animals are 3 different sizes and have different attributes that help them get through the level collecting these blue orb things.
Angry Piggy (Click to show)

Angry Birds Star Wars
Angry Birds Star Wars continues the Angry Birds franchise by throwing in Star Wars related birds into the mix. The birds we all know now take on new skills to help them defeat the "evil" empire. Red bird takes on a lightsaber, big red bird is chewbacca, Triangle Yellow bird is Han Solo and shoots lasers from his pistol and the list goes on.
Angry Birds Star Wars (Click to show)

Assaulter
Assaulter is a screen scrolling gunner. Weather on your feet or on a vehicle, you're blasting terrorists with all kings of crazy weapons. Game is full of win and a 10 on the man scale. Now go grow your beards, light up a cigar and other manly things so you can get in the mood for this game.
Assaulter (Click to show)

Bad Piggies
Bad Piggies is another game from Rovio (creator of Angry Birds) that revolves around the beloved Angry Birds characters, but with a twist. Instead of the game centering around the birds, you're not in control of the pigs. In this game though, rather than launching you at the birds, you create weird inventions that can roll, fly and all sorts of things. These inventions help you to nab some of the Angry Birds eggs. It's basically a puzzle solving game.
Bad Piggies (Click to show)

Battlefield Bad Company 2
This isn't the exact same game nor the same graphics level of BC2 on PC. It's an android version that is completely different from BC2 on PC. It's for Sony Xperia Play atm, but will likely come out on other phones soon. Pretty good game with good controls.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 (Click to show)

Battleheart
Battleheart is an awesome and IMO relatively unknown game with great graphics and gameplay. You control 4 characters on screen at the same time with screen dragging commands which guide each character on where to move or what to attack. Combined with skills as you level up, different classes (fighter, Paladin, Rogue, Wizard and more) this is an awesome game. Later on it gets quite difficult since you have to constantly move all of them to avoid AOE spells. Very fun, worth the price.
Battleheart (Click to show)

Biofrenzy
A very cute gun shooting side scroller where you kill zombies. Similar to Zombieville and Aliens invasion, but with cuter graphics IMO. Worth a download.
Biofrenzy (Click to show)

Blood & Glory
Blood & Glory is your Sparticus type game. You're in the arena fighting a gladiator and spewing his guts. The graphics on this game are REALLY good. They're PS2 quality, no lie. The game play isn't bad neither and best of all it's free. Take a look at the video and give it a try.
Blood & Glory (Click to show)

Brainsss
Brainsss is another Zombie game(Haven't we had enough? NO!) except instead of killing the zombies, you ARE the zombies and when I say Zombies I MEAN IES. You control a flock of hording zombies that run through maps killing humans and turning them for your evil undead cause. You can control multiple groups are a time, but have to watch out for gun strapped humans that can annihilate you quickly like you're a horde of boomers on L4D2. Game is simple, fun and a bit challenging, give it a try.

Burn The City
Burn the City is a game where you're some fire breathing fat square dragon thing and you shoot fireballs at building, nuclear reactors and trees to try and decimate and do as much damage as possible while collecting points and using the least amount of fireballs.

It's a physics game, but in all honest you could simply drag and aim directly at building in the initial levels.

Burn the Rope+/Burn The Rope World
This game is probably long overdue for an add, but with the release of Worlds I finally decided to give it a try. While it may not be my perfect cup of tea, I'm sure there are many people out there that would find this game very interesting and it does deserve a spot on this list.

Cartoon Wars: Gunner+
Cartoon Wars: Gunner+ is a neat stick figure survival shooter. You basically are a stick figure person with lots and lots of weapons to kill all kinds of enemies ranging from stick figure natives with spears, to stick bears and stickdroids. The game is sort of RPG like in nature since you can upgrade your health, defense, damage, cool down, magic and upgrade your weapons.
Cartoon Wars: Gunner (Click to show)

Colosseum
This is a really fun game where you slice and dices enemies in the arena, and later on in other places to collect money and a key to pass the stage. The more money you make the better the weapons and armor and throwing objects you can afford. The only downside is after you've collected all the items the game becomes stale and you can theoretically get all the items on level 1 if you have the patience to kill orcs for a few hours. The higher in level you go the more money you get per kill so it pays to kill higher level stuff, still, the creators should have done something about when you can unlock the weapons. Still, nice enough to keep on my phone.

Colosseum Heroes is a continuation of the first game, almost an expansion pack really which includes a vampire character, new weapons, skills and guns. The game is also SIGNIFICANTLY harder than the first. This is a good time waster, especially if you liked the first, but be prepared to rage, since this one is much more tedious than the first and sometimes feels like the AI is hacking. I COULD HAVE SWORN I HIT THAT STUPID SKELETON...WHY DO YOU TURN FROM ME AND FLEE RATHER THAN DIE LIKE A GOOD SKELETON!

Contract Killer
Contract Killer is a game that is enormous in size. I actually couldn't warrant downloading all 250MB yet to install it, but if you have the space, definitely try it. It looks amazingly fun. You're an assassin and have to find your target and shoot them with a sniper rifle.

Cordy
Cordy is a fun, cute and great looking 3D puzzle platforming game. Worth a buy, but give the free version a try.

Cut The Rope
Cut the Rope is a popular game with cute graphics. You basically slide your finger across the rope, effectively cuting the rope which holds a piece of candy. The candy is supposed to fall in the mouth of this frog animal. That's how you feed it. The stages become more complex with multiple obstacles holding onto the rope and cutting the rope eventually requires timing, precision and knowing what order to cut the rope. Has a free version as well.

Dead Space
Dead Space on Android. If you haven't played or heard of Dead Space on Xbox or other consoles...then you need to get out of the rock you're hiding under. Dead Space is a sci-fi horror game. You shoot aliens and stuff. Now you do so on Android.

Death Worm
Death Worm is a game where you control a very large worm with an on screen joystick(or other mechanism for phones with physical controls). You shoot up from the ground and eat soldiers, civilians, cars, birds, planes and move up in levels where things try to shoot you and kill you. Very reminiscent of the movie Dune.

Dead Trigger
Dead Trigger is an excellent game with amazing graphics, great physics, objectives, and best of all ZOMBIES!! I'm pretty sure that just about any game with zombies is going to be good, even if the game is bad. You have to mess up pretty badly to ruin zombies. Anyway, the only downside to this game is that it's ENORMOUS file size wise. Pretty much one of the largest games on my phone besides the other high graphic large shooters like Mass Effect. The game is fun, challenging and very pretty, but your finger can get rubbed raw against the screen after a while. It might be better with a stylus. That said the aiming isn't the best I've run across, but it's definitely playable without being obnoxious.
Dead Trigger (Click to show)

Defender
Defender is as you guessed a defense game, but not your typical tower defense game where you place static turrets that shoot things that walk by. In this game you are arming a balista and blast oncoming monsters as they attack your castle. You use the touch screen to aim the balista and level up your fortification to eventually shoot faster. You are given magic spells are can also be leveled up and used to destroy hordes of monsters attacking your castle. Looks very good, simple idea, great fun, and best of all it's free.

Devil Ninja 2
Devil Ninja 2 is an auto side scrolling game where you control a ninja by slicing and ninja staring opponents as they come towards you all while jumping and evading obstacles and pitfalls. The game is really challenging despite seeming simple enough. Nice graphics and the fact that it's free make it a nice download.

Early Bird
Early Bird is sort of like Angry Birds mixed in with Platforming. You slide your finger a certain length to give the bird the strength he needs to fly a certain distance and collect a bunch of stars, but not only must he collect the stars, he must then land on a big bullz eye to eat the worm. Game looks very cute, pretty fun and the music reminds me of old cartoons which is great.

Eve of Genesis HD

Fragger
Fragger is a launch physics game where you're some kind of swat dude that throws grenades at baddies and tries to blow them up. The game is actually pretty difficult and not as intuitive as Angry Birds to jump into. There's a power meter and along with having to aim the trajectory, there's obstacles in the way that sometimes you have to blow up in order to get to the baddies. You can even launch the grenades right at the enemies head, but unfortunately a headshot that way doesn't equal a kill. You can knock the baddies off the stage or screen if that's available, but isn't always. I didn't find it that interesting at first, but soon found myself at level 21 within minutes. It's a pretty cool game, but the learning curve is a bit difficult to master. It's almost like trial and error most of the time.

This was originally a miniclip game but is now on Android and I must say the graphics are improved since the miniclip version.
Fragger (Click to show)

Fruit Ninja
Quite popular on Android. You're a ninja and your job is to slice the fruit as it's being tossed up on screen. If it falls without being sliced or you slice a bomb, you get an X mark. If you get 3 X marks you lose. Nice graphics and colors and very accurate slices.

Game Dev Story
Game Dev Story.. Best way to put it is, "Manage your own game company, develop your own console, and hire your own staff. You're in charge--you decide! Aim for that million-selling hit in this unique simulation!"

Straight from their own web site. Perhaps the video below will help show you exactly what you're doing. Not everyone's cup of tea, but for those that like these types of games, this one has definitely built a reputation for itself.

Grabatron is an arcadey type alien game where you can pick up items and drop them on enemies or buildings to cause havok and destruction. The game has pretty good physics and looks nice. Maps generally take place in underground caverns, cities, highways with bridges and other areas. You can grab cars, drop them on other cars or rip off parts of buildings and slam them into the building.

Grand Theft Auto 3
Grand Theft Auto 3 is brought to Android Market. It's the exact version from PS2 ported to Android with pretty good touch screen controls. The draw distance is lower than the PS2's, but it runs smoothly on dual core phones and is good enough to buy IMO. Brings back lots of memories.
Grand Theft Auto III (Click to show)

Guerilla Bob
Guerilla Bob is a fun game where you moved through levels shooting the enemy opposition. You collect different guns as you progress and collect money. This has a much smoother transition than Colosseum in terms of buying guns and the game is really fun, but it's sort of short. frown.gif Very nice looking game though.

Jazz: Trump's Journey
Jazz Trump's Journey is a fantastic game. It has great artstyle, amazing music, some might feel a sort of "racist vibe" about it, but that's the genre in particular IMO. It also takes place in a sort of "1920s" setting. It's a side scroller with jumping, leaping, sliding and you should definitely look into it, especially since it's free. Highly recommended.

Jelly Defense
Jelly Defense is a tower defense game where you fight Jelly invaders with Jelly Turrets. It has cute art and style while also being a commendable Tower Defense game.

Magic Defenders HD is another tower defense game, only this one involves magic casters dealing severe amounts of damage to a large mob of enemies invading a castle. Huge AOE spells going off hitting multiple enemies at a time. The game looks epic, very nice and pretty.

Mass Effect Infiltrator
Mass Effect Infiltrator is an awesome 3rd person shooter game on Android that loosely follows the Mass Effect Story line, but is really a new and separate story in and of itself that's Oh So Popular on Console and PC. The controls are great like Shadow Gun. The graphics are amazing. The story line is better than Shadow Gun. It's a really great game. If you're a fan of the series or are into FPS on Android, this is a must have.
Mass Effect Infiltrator (Click to show)

Mega Jump
Mega Jump is a colorful game where you blast through the sky as some weird little creature thing and eat coins in the sky as your rocket fuel. If you go blasting through the sky for more than a second without grabbing a coin of some sort you plummet to your death. And if you think you'll grab some left over coins you missed on the way up, you're wrong. After a certain limited amount of space the coins you passed disappear. It's kinda' difficult to stay aloft and continue blasting through the sky by eating coins. You have to tilt your phone to move from left to right.

Minecraft Pocket Edition
Minecraft for Android. If you're unfamiliar with Minecraft, it's basically a world made of 8bit blocks where you can create dungeons and all sorts of things. Hugely popular on PC, I assume the mobile version is equally as fun.

Monster Shooter
Monster Shooter is a 2D/3D mixture game with on screen controls that allow you to guide your alien creature through dangerous worlds shooting other aliens because they stole your kitty. Naught
Naught is a great physics/gravity based game where you run around through levels, tilting your phone to make your character move and fall while the world tumbles and objects try to slice you and kill you. It's really fun and definitely worth the 99c it sells for.

Night of the Living Dead Defense HD
Night of the Living Dead Defense is a tower defense game where zombie hoards are swarming through a town/area you're defending and your job is to stop them from getting across. You set up an infantry of gunslingers, soldiers, RPGers, etc to defend against the zombie invasion. There are different types of zombies with different speeds and defense. The game is actually pretty challenging, straight from the get-go. Also contains movies from the original movie including sounds/voice clips. Very interesting game and I've found myself playing it quite often lately. I would definitely recommend this game for those interested in zombies or tower defense games.

N.O.V.A. 3
N.O.V.A. 3 is the third installment to the N.O.V.A. Series and continues to impress with amazing graphics, great gameplay and a kick ass storyline. Again, this is another must have for all FPS lovers on Android.
N.O.V.A. 3 (Click to show)

Oscura
Oscura is a vector shaded game with excellent art and music. The controls are simple enough to play, but with the physics involved in the game not simple to master. I watched a play through and laughed as the guy died over and over and while I didn't die quite as bad, I did see how the guy could have died where he did. It's a tough game to do perfectly and will present quite a challenge. Fantastic game that I strongly recommend.

Overkill
Overkill is an FPS still background shooter where enemies come on screen and you have to shoot them down. You get a gun that sort of hovers over the screen and jiggles around with firing animations and sounds. The guns are all customizable and the game play is decent.

Pigs in Trees
This is a cute game that almost plays upon Angry Birds by reversing the roles of the pigs with the birds. The birds are trying to attack a tree in which pigs live, so the pigs create some eggshell plane so that a pig can go out and shoot down the birds as they attack form all sides. The other pigs help by giving you supplies to help take out the birds. Really fun and entertaining game.

Plants vs. Zombies
IMO, the best game on Android. This game is SUPER FUN! You get plants that shoot pea pods at a bunch of zombies that are trying to invade your house by the front lawn, the back yard with the pool and even your roof. There are different game modes and so many different plants to use to help fight off all different kinds of zombies. Definitely a must have on Android.

Princess Punt
Princess Punt looks really ingenious. It's also available in a Tegra version for those with that GPU in their phones. Goal is to launch a knight at the stage and beat minions, grab coins etc. Watch the vid for a closer look. There are a few bosses every now and then and despite being called Princess Punt, it's really cool and even guys will enjoy it.

Puffle Launch
Puffle Launch is a must have game on Android. You're this tiny Puffle ball guy and you shoot in cannons collecting rings. Each cannon has a different function. Some auto launch you, some rotate 45 degrees. Some you have to personally aim and out of every cannon you can control the general direction you curve. Object is to get to the large ring at the end and try to collect all the rings in the map. REALLY fun game.

Rocket Weasel
Rocket Weasel takes the Angry Birds concept and adds a whole new dimension to the game. Where as Angry Birds is straight forward physics based, Rocket Weasel adds moving objects that can kill you in the way such as jumping porcupines so that you have to time your launch just right and adds other features such as kicking horses, blowing cow things, sheep that launch things and much much more. As you progress through the levels you'll notice that what was once easy and child's play soon turns out to be a very difficult perfect timing perfect aiming game that can require fast finger maneuvering to get right. The music is pretty much the same on almost every level, but it's great jazz. I LOVE the vector art of this game and highly recommend it especially since it's free.
Rocket Weasel (Click to show)

Rope Rescue
Rope Rescue was difficult to decide whether it was worth a mention on the list. The game is overly simplistic and basic. There are new elements added over the course of the levels making each progressing level harder or at the very least introducing some new aspect to taken into account. I think that this game is best served for children. If I gave my niece this game to play, she'd love it and would have a blast. If I gave my brother this game who's now in college, he wouldn't be all that interested in it. It's a pretty game to look at, but ultimately the game is for a younger audience. If you're looking for an app for your child or to entertain someone young so they'll behave when they go out, this is a great game to get for them.

Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack
Serious Sam is a weird game where you try to jump over or kick down objects in your way to eventually catch up to some goon and rip him apart. Oh yeah, your head is missing. It's a decent game, maybe not worth paying for. That's up to each person. Oh yeah, if you rage too much you blow yourself up.

SAS: Zombie Assault 3
SAS: Zombie Assault 3 is a a fun survival zombie game with pretty decent controls. You run around a map with structures, walls and whatnot and try to stay alive as zombies and creatures come after you. You pick up guns that help you kill them with more ease like shotguns and MP5s as well as grenades. While the controls aren't PERFECT, they're quite good and as far as real zombie games go this is a good one.

Seven Stars 3D
Seven Stars 3D was recently free on Amazon App store. I gave it a download since...it was free. It's actually a pretty cool, good looking and challenging game. You use the tilt functionality on your phone to roll a crate or steel ball through a map with an often times narrow platform. You can change view to help with rolling or just beat the entire map in a single view and tilt every which way. Full of slide, moving platforms, spinning platforms and spikes to destroy you, this game is full of a little of everything to make it worth the download and pretty fun. Did I mention the music is really good?

ShadowGun
ShadowGun is a MUST HAVE Android game. It has one of the best graphics of ANY Android game out. It plays very much like Gears of War. You're a big clunky mercenary and you hide behind boxes in an FPS/3rd person style gunner. This is one of the few FPS game I've played on Android where I LOVE the controls. I can actually move, aim and SHOOT at the same time NO PROBLEM. The developers hit a HOME RUN with this game. It's FANTASTIC! I've only played the first level and I already love it. Definitely worth buying.

Squibble
Squibble is a game where you're some weirdo Squid with 3 tentacles and you have to use them to move you around. You do so by sticking onto walls and ceilings and floors and catapulting yourself forward or over objects.

Symphony of Eternity
Very similar to old Final Fantasy styled Turn Based RPGs.
Symphony of Eternity (Click to show)

Temple Run
Temple Run is a very difficult game where you're running from some monkeys through a temple sort of place like Indiana Jones and dodging obstacles, pits, fire and whatnot as you run. You use the phone's tilt sensor to move left and right and swipe left and right to turn and up to jump or down to slide. It's way too difficult for me, but others might enjoy it.
Temple Run (Click to show)

Third Blade
Third Blade is a hack and slash game where you go throughout levels cutting down enemies with 3/4 different blades ranging from 2 dual knives to a massive Cloud Strife Buster sword or a Medium sized Katana. I think there's also another sword that's even larger than the Buster Sword/Riven sword. There's bosses that do present a challenge and the game play isn't bad, but the annoying advertisements in this game..definitely see what you can do about removing ads in this game.

Tiny Robots
Tiny Robots is a game that's sort of like Space Invaders/Galaga. You're this Wall-E looking robot and shoot lazers from your head at invading flying robot things. Unicorn Dash is a free version of the Robot Unicorn game released by Adult Swim. You're a unicorn that jumps, double jumps and super power fireball kamikaze slams/dashes into objects and further accelerates you through the map. Where's My Water?
Where's My Water? is a very cute and fun game that involves getting water through underground caverns to a pipe so that you can supply a crocodile with water so he can take a shower.

lul, yes. The premise is silly, but cute.

What you do is slide your finger across the screen to dig/clear a path of dirt to allow the water to flow down into the pipe. Along the way are rubber ducks that you should fill for points and deadly purple..either gas or bubble bath. I can't tell, I think it's the latter, lol. If your water hits the bubble bath, the water turns into bubble bath. Bubble bath is poisonous to the crocodile, so you'll mess him up if too much gets in his shower. The physics on this game are good, there's actually some timing and skill involved. As you progress throughout the game there's a lot more involved in this game including activating switches, avoiding toxic barrels and more. The graphics are cute and good and I recommend this game to keep.

Wind-Up Knight
Wind-Up Knight is a cute, fun and good looking auto scrolling, 3D platforming game where you have to run to the end of the level, avoiding spikes, fire, moving objects and evasive platforms to rescue your beloved princess. You are under kings orders though. Also, you're facing an evil black knight guy that has clearly been trolling the internet for many years and will probably scare you away from saving the princess with his devious introduction letter. You feel afraid and are unsure whether you can beat his pwnage.

Wolf Toss is a neat game that combines the 3 little pigs story with Angry Birds and Puffle Launch. You're the big bad wolf and you have to launch yourself from a canon to other canons or straight into the weird houses constructions the pigs have made in order to eat their bacon. You chase them from house to house, blowing their houses down and destroying their homes. You can also collect gems/coins along the way to help you unlock levels and the difficulty can rise as well.

World of Goo
For those of you who don't know, World of Goo is a very famous PC game created from a seemingly no-name 3rd party company. The game ended up being an enormous success and has a huge following. People that normally didn't like paying for games started dishing out money in droves for this game because of how awesome it was. The game is really really fun. You take a bunch of the goo and create a bridge with them to get across a canyon or mountain or lake. There's a whole story into it and it's definitely worth buying.

Zombargedon
Zombargedon is a side scrolling Zombie Survival game with zombies coming at you from both sides. You get guns and items to help you slay zombies in large packs or faster, but your basic item is a sword to hack and slash them to death. It's actually a pretty difficult game. See how long you can last. I don't think there's an actual end to it. You just play til you die and level up in the process.

Zombieville USA
Zombieville USA is a super popular side scrolling zombie shoot em up. You get money to buy larger weapons to shoot and kill zombies as you progress through levels. Some levels have vehicles that let you run down zombies. You raid houses for bullets and money. Nice graphics, fun game. Lots of different character types as well.

Zombirds
Zombirds was difficult to decide whether I should add or not. The game is very simplistic, there's no real "advancement" which makes it kind of dull and it's very repetetive so it seems nothing ever really changes. I don't believe it ever really advanced to higher difficulty either, but I may be wrong. The object is to shoot down Zombirds in an epic fashion, trying to slay 3-4+ of them at a time with a single arrow. THe arrow drops the bird slowly, taking any bird with it below it.

The game is not the easiest to master and aiming with quick timings is tricky. UIltimately I decided that this game was free and for those looking for a skill related game, this might be interesting to throw at them. Toss in the great colors and great sounds, this is worth downloading and looking into.
Zombirds (Click to show) Zombie City II
This is an auto side scrolling game where you have to jump over objects and shoot guns you get throughout the level at incoming zombies. It's okay, not too special, but worth trying out, especially since it's free.

Zombie Smash
Zombie Smash is a comedy survival rag doll physics game where you toss, slam, flip and destroys hordes of zombies by grabbing them like a deity and having your way with them (whoa there, you..) In the game you get items to help kill the undead armies such as heavenly boulders, guns, land mines and much more. Check it out.

Miscellaneous

Adobe Flash Player 11
Adobe Flash 11 lets you use Flash in your browsers. Let's you watch videos, play games etc. It's basic and a necessity really if you want to use the browser on your phone.

A Charlie Brown Christmas
A Charlie Brown Christmas uses voices from the Peanuts movie in pop out story book fashion. It's narrated by the voice of the original Charlie Brown (now older) and uses the original voices from the film. It goes at your own pace as you swipe to turn pages or continue dialogue. Parts of each page can be interacted with. It's normally worth 7 dollars, but currently free on Amazon App store as of 12/23/2011(to 12/24/2011 3:30AM).

AirDroid

Barcode Scanner
The Barcode Scanner is a very simple program that uses your camera to scan the barcodes on all sort of products to tell you the price, details and going rate of the product. It is also used to scan QR codes for fast downloads. It's a pretty near app and useful (mostly for the QR Code scanning).

BobClockD3
BobClockD3 is a simple visual Clock overly type app. It's nice for screen customization of a clock interface. BobClockD3 (Click to show)

Dropbox
Dropbox is a neat app that lets you place files on an online cloud storage area where you and others that have access to your dropbox can download from. Great for putting documents, music, roms, and other stuff to transfer over to your phone rather than using the USB cable.

SetCPU
SetCPU allows you to overclock, underclock and set the clock speed of your processor while the screen is off/the phone is idle. It's an EXCELLENT way to save battery and a MUST HAVE for Android. Can't believe I didn't add it earlier, but I've had it on my phone forever. Free version is over at XDA, but you can buy it on the Market additionally to show your support. It's already linked to the XDA thread where you can download it free.

Sketchbook Mobile
Sketchbook Mobile is the first drawing pad I've dealt with on Android and it's very very good. It has many features artists would find useful, including mirror sketching and shading effects. I'll let the video take care of the rest of the explanation.

Thank you, I still have the GAMES section to do and lots of MORE fun pictures for everyone

This did take alot of time to do, so again, thanks and I will be updating this list very often so stay tuned.

They're all in alphabetical order. If you see an app or game that I've missed feel free to offer the suggestion, I'll look into it and if it's totally awesome, I'll put it into this list.
