From my experience, Soundhound was faster. Soundhound was incorrect more times than Shazam and most importantly for me Shazam was able to pull out a song IN THE MIDST of background noise and people speaking over a song better than soundhound. I found that to be more useful than perfect silence for both songs because when I need to hear a song and wonder what that is it'll be while watching TV and other people are speaking over the music.

Now if you just want to know what a song is and know it fast and it's quiet, soundhound is better.

Used it many times in my (loud) truck at highway speed. Probably with windows open. :shrug:

I don't imagine either are far off regardless. More personal preference thumb.gif I got soundhound for 10 cents on sale so i stuck with it

Now that I've had far more Android experience (my latest smartphone is a Motorola DROID BIONIC, hacked to work on Canada's cellphone networks) I'd like to suggest these additions:

Tablet Talk is worth a mention. Basically, allows you to send texts from your tablet instead of your phone. They can either be connected via wifi or bluetooth.

Well, just to keep in form of the conversation before I veer off-topic.
SwiftKey3 alongside with WhatsApp are my two most used apps and SwiftKey3 makes it so I can actually type on a touchscreen. Coming from a BB Bold 9000 to an SE Xperia Play was quite a large leap for me. rolleyes.gif

Also, just a curious question. Does OCN have an app themselves? For the forums / pushes notifications / updates direct to my phone. I get email updates as is, but it'd be nice for such to be incorporated into an Android App. biggrin.gif

Apparently Rovio is releasing another angry birds game to its franchise, this time teaming up with George Lucas. Angry birds star wars is coming out November 8th.
